Summary: What happens when the celebrity you idolize has nothing to do with the man he really is?
Disclaimer: I don’t own Mr. Vin Diesel, Mr. Valentino Morales or any other celebrity you can recognize. I do own the ones you cannot, with a couple of exceptions. This is just for fun, so don’t sue me. Anyway, you should know that I’m broke, so do not bother. At the end you only will get a painful headache.
Author’s note: Okay, señoras, I’m almost done with “Lies” (my fic based on Dominic Toretto’s character), so just like I said a few months ago, here I am re-posting my infamous fic. I hope to keep counting with your support, respect and love and to have the chance to share with all of you the ride. I’m planning to post a new chapter each couple of days, so you better leave me feedbacks, ladies. I’m the ‘review whore’ and I’m back!
Now, for all of you that didn’t hear about this story before: You’re going to read things that maybe you’re going to find offensive. My version of Mr. Vin Diesel in this story is not your version of him. This is a Dark Vin fic, what it means you will find within this story drugs, sex, alcohol and some other matters you may find ofensive. I’ll add a warning when it’s needed it, don’t worry.
Just one more thing: don’t judge me, don’t sweat and don’t bitch about the fact Vin is not as perfect as you would love to. This is fiction and not the real world.
Please note that you’re going to find paragraphs that had been written in italic letters to show a fan fic inside of this story.
I want send from here a big huge and equally huge kiss to bima140277 because without her undoncitional help, support, respect and love this story wouldn’t be posted here in first place. Thank you, B.
I want to give a huge hug and a fierce squish evilgrin, my beta for all my other stories and now for this new re-post too. Thank you very much, Evil. You know I love you, woman.
Luna sighed hard as she stared at the ceiling. She couldn’t sleep at all and in her current state, she couldn’t make herself more comfortable on the big bed. Luna’s lips let out a heavy sigh as she frowned slightly, thinking about the events of the last two years. She was so lost in her own thoughts that she didn’t notice that Vin was awake and staring at her, grinning.
“Hey, mami.” Vin murmured as he stroke her rounded belly gently. Luna shook her head slightly and looked at him. She then lifted her hand, rubbing Vin’s hand. “You can’t sleep?” He asked concerned as he rose slightly, resting on his elbow. Luna smiled, sighing softly.
“I was thinking about how we met.” She answered, entwining their fingers. Vin rolled his eyes, chuckling. “Yeah, I know. Don’t tell me.” Luna added, frowning deeply. He then moved forward and pressed a gentle kiss on her belly, lingering on his caress. Luna grinned as she stroke his shaved head. “Do you really love this baby, huh, dork?” She asked, laughing softly. Vin smirked against her skin.
“I love you both, doll.” He replied as he pressed his ear to her belly, feeling their future baby, kicking.
Renee snapped her fingers in front of Luna’s face. “Hey, NJ!” She called, grinning like a loony. “Where are you, hon?” She mocked, laughing softly. Luna blinked furiously, focusing her vision. She found Renee in front of her, with a devilish grin plastered on her face.
“Damnit, Renee.” She murmured, frowning slightly. “I’m here.” Luna added softly, mimicking Renee’s grin. In response, Renee laughed, shaking her head.
“Yeah, sure, babe.” She retorted as she took a seat on the other side of Luna’s desk. “You were thinking about him again.” Renee added as she narrowed her ice blue eyes in suspicion; Luna held her gaze, nodding shyly. Renee rolled her eyes, sighing hard. “How many times do I have to tell you, NJ. We have nothing to do with Mr. Salami.” She couldn’t help but chuckle at her own words. Luna smiled at that and a moment later both women started to laugh aloud at the top of their lungs.
Renee had been Vin Diesel’s personal assistant for the last three years and she knew better than anyone else what kind of chicks were the regulars in Vin Diesel’s bed. Not even one of those girls was wearing anything bigger than a size 0, and none of them was older than twenty-five years.
Renee didn’t care at all, she had Valentino; but Luna was another story. She was really in love with Vin Diesel even though she knew full well that he was never going to look at her for more than a second; but, she couldn’t help it. Luna had been in love with him since the very first time she saw “Pitch Black” on TV.
Luna had been writing fan fics based on Vin Diesel and his characters for more than two years and had started posting them on the Internet a year ago. One day, one of Vin Diesel’s acquaintances read one of the stories based on Riddick and thought that she would be a great writer. So One Race Films offered her a job as a scriptwriter, and now here she was writing the script of his next movie.
Nobody other than Renee knew that Luna was behind those fan fics, and even she had discovered it by accident. Luna always used the nickname “njrd” and the email address of a friend. The lawyer in charge of all the official documents regarding her contract with One Race Film wasn’t working for the company anymore, so after he left, only Renee knew Luna’s secret.
Renee loved to read those stories based on her boss. She couldn’t help but be surprised about how near some of those authors came to the mark when they described Vin Diesel’s current life. If only they knew how close and how well some of them knew him, even though they never had crossed paths with him.
Renee had read “Black Star”, the first fan fic that Luna had written, and she fell in love with the story. She was re-reading one of the chapters when Luna came into her office, asking her if she wanted to have lunch with her. It was then that Renee fixed her gaze on Luna’s right ring finger and noticed the ring named the “Black Star”.
Suddenly, Renee’s cell phone rang, pulling her out of her thoughts. She searched for it inside her purse and rolled her eyes when she saw the number, flashing at her on the little screen.
“Yes, master.” Renee mocked, grinning.
“Where the fuck are you, woman?!” Vin voice shouted at the other side of the line.
Renee knit a brow at the tone of his voice as she made herself comfortable in her seat. Luna looked at her, her brows arched. She could hear his voice from where she sat.
“A couple of floors down from you, Vin.” Renee replied, smiling. Vin grunted annoyed.
“Move your ass up here; I have to show you something.” He retorted and then hung up the phone. Renee rolled her eyes as she stood.
“I’ve got to see what his problem is now.” She said, still grinning as she closed her cell phone. Luna nodded ‘yes’ and smiled. “See you later, girl.” She added, reaching the door of Luna’s office. “Oh, tonight is girl’s night. Don’t forget to wear something really sexy, N.” Renee waggled her brows, laughing and Luna laughed with her. Renee opened the door and headed toward Vin’s office.
Vin was pacing back and forth like a caged animal in his office, while muttering obscenities under his breath. Vin was more than angry; he was pissed off as hell. He couldn’t believe that the fucking Studio had told him that he had to manage somehow to lower the budget for “Hannibal”. Vin was starting to think that he wasn’t ever going to make that movie at all.
“The Chronicles of Riddick” hadn’t had the success that had been anticipated and “The Pacifier” had made millions, but his reputation as an actor had been damaged.
The rumors around Hollywood that Vin Diesel was almost out of the business had grown in the last months, so the Studio had been rethinking its options. They weren’t so sure that an epic movie filmed in Spanish and Latin, telling the story of Hannibal the Carthaginian General, was going to be an interesting project after all. And on top of it they didn’t want Vin Diesel directing the movie.
Vin had had meetings with Mel Gibson and others, and it seemed that they were interested in the project, but he wasn’t able to sign anything with any of them. Of course he had other scripts on his table, but he wanted to make that damned movie, and he wanted to make it now.
Vin kicked his own chair, frustrated. “Fuck!” He grunted, annoyed when the door of his office opened, showing Renee.
“Wow, easy there, Vincent.” Renee said as she entered and closed the door behind her. Vin went motionless and fixed her with a serious gaze, closing his hands into fists.
“Where were you, Ren?” He asked as he headed toward the chair and pulled it into its place. “I’ve been looking for you for more than half an hour.” Vin added as he collapsed onto his chair.
“I was with Luna.” Renee replied as she moved forward, taking a seat in front of him.
Vin frowned puzzled. “Who?” He asked, frowning deeply.
Renee rolled her eyes as she cursed silently. She couldn’t believe that Luna was in love with a guy who wasn’t even able to recognize her, even though she had been working for him for the last four months.
“Luna. Your scriptwriter, Vin.” Renee replied in annoyance. “The woman who is writing the script of your next movie.” She added as she searched inside of her purse, looking for her pack of cigarettes.
“Here.” Vin said as he threw her his own pack. “Her name is Luna?” He asked puzzled as he tried to remember her. Renee snapped her head up and fixed him with a cold gaze. In response, Vin rolled his eyes. “What?” He asked, frowning slightly. “Since when do I have to know all my employees?” Vin added, arching a brow. Renee narrowed her eyes as she lit a cigarette up, taking a long drag.
“Luna is not one of your employees, Vin.” Renee hissed as she threw the pack of cigarettes back. “She’s freelance and she’s one of the best writers around.” She added as she leaned back in her chair. She then took a long drag of her cigarette. “You should take a look at…”
Renee cut herself off as soon as she realized that she was going to blow Luna’s secret identity.
Vin narrowed his eyes. “Take a look at what, Ren?” He asked seriously as he picked up his pack, pulling out a cigarette for himself. Renee cursed herself silently, frowning deeply.
“Nothing. Forget about it.” She murmured softly. “Now what was so important that you needed my ass up here as soon as possible?” Renee added, trying to change the subject.
Vin went silent, locking eyes with Renee. He knew full well that she was hiding something from him, but he let it go for now. Anyway, he was busier right now with other problems.
“I’ve got to find a way to lower the budget of the movie.” Vin said, sighing hard.
“I told you.” Renee replied evenly. Vin shot her a cold gaze, narrowing his eyes and she arched her brows. “Well, sorry, Vin, but I already told you that they were going to ask you to lower the damned budget.”
“I know you told me.” Vin muttered through clenched teeth. “Now shut up and listen” he added and pulled out a CD. “We’re going to find a way to lower this fucking budget in less than a week.” Vin said as he inserted the CD in his computer.
“We?” Renee retorted, arching a brow. Vin tightened his jaw.
“Yes, Ren. We.” He hissed as he made himself comfortable in his chair. Renee opened her mouth to protest but he didn’t let her. “So, you better call Val and tell him that you’re not gonna go home early tonight.” Vin added as he took a long drag of his cigarette. “We’re gonna be stuck here until we can make it possible.” Renee rolled her eyes.
“You’ve got to be kidding, right? I’ve got plans for tonight.” She replied annoyed. Vin chuckled at that.
“Well, babe. It seems to me that your plans have been cancelled.” Vin retorted coldly. In response, she grunted. “Yeah, I’ve got a hot as hell chick waiting for my call, so suck it up and bear with me.” He added as he opened the file.
Renee stared at him through narrowed eyes, cursing silently. After a moment, she pulled out her cell phone to call Val. If looks could kill, Vin Diesel would have fallen to the floor dead then and there.
