WARNING! Use of drugs, references to sex.
Vin had told Luna earlier that morning that if she felt like it, she could join the people at the party. Not that he was excited about the idea of having someone who didn’t belong in with his closest people around him at one of his parties, but Vin thought that considering the fact that Luna was one of Renee’s best friends, he could at least be polite.
However, Vin was sure that he had been more than just polite with Luna. After all, he let her stay in his house during the weekend instead of making her drive to his place from the centre four times. Again a nice detail, because Luna was his scriptwriter after all and a real good one at that. Once again, Vin felt that he owed it to Renee.
Luna had declined the invitation as politely as she could. After all, she wasn’t there to assist at the party; she had come to assist him. However, Luna didn’t know reason why but the nearer the party was, the more she had a bad feeling about this night. Luna couldn’t place it, but for some unthinkable reason, she was sure that something horrible was going to happen.
She had read many things about those parties and none of them was good. Luna had read on the boards of Vin Diesel’s fan pages about the rumors about drugs, threesomes, and other things like that. She always had refused to think that Vin Diesel was on drugs. Luna was sure that Vin was mature enough to understand the dangers of those kinds of substances. And then there was the fact that Vin was in perfect shape, always training, taking care of his diet and working out each and every day, it made these suspicions seem to be ridiculous.
Luna had read a story once about how Valentino and Vin had been dealing with kids that were into drugs when they were both bouncers in New York and how, on more than one occasion, they had been lecturing the kids about how dangerous drugs were for their health and brains.
On one occasion while she was having dinner with Renee and Valentino at their place, Luna got up the nerve and asked Val about those stories and he had confirmed them. But, what Valentino kept to himself was the fact that things had changed very much over the years since those days. He considered that there was no need to tell her how it was now. What was the point of upsetting her? Val knew how much Luna was in love with Vin. There was no need to hurt her feelings unnecessarily telling her the truth about Vin Diesel and the fact that he had nothing to do with Mark Vincent.
Luna was lying on her back with Vin sitting at her side, holding her hand. They were in the ultrasound room while the doctor was talking with them.
“Well, Luna. It seems to me that everything is more than fine with the baby.” The doctor said with a big smile plastered on his face. “In fact, everything is perfect.”
Luna let out the air she had been holding with a painful sigh as she smiled broadly, looking at Vin. In response he mouthed ‘I told you, doll’ which made Luna shoot Vin a look to shut up, dork. The doctor looked at them, grinning.
He had seen many couples over the years in his clinic, but without a doubt Vin and Luna had been one of those who seemed more in love and with a deep strong connection without saying a single word to each other.
The doctor noticed that Luna and Vin had been following all his advice literally. Silently, he chuckled, remembering how Luna had asked him if it would be healthy for the baby to make love during the pregnancy. The doctor had grown fond of both of them, so he couldn’t help it.
“Luna? How about your… intercourse with Mr. Diesel here?” He asked, grinning. Luna gasped soundlessly as her eyes went wide while Vin grinned like a loony.
“Um…We’ve been… I mean … I’m a little…” Luna trailed off, looking away. Vin exploded laughing hard and the doctor laughed with him.
“Luna has always been ….” Vin teased, laughing. Luna narrowed her eyes, punching his shoulder playfully.
“Shut up, dork. You’re all over me at every turn, Mr. Diesel.” Luna replied, grinning like a loony while remembering the night before in the hammock. “Oh, hell. I’ve always been insatiable, doc.” She added, blushing a little. After a couple of seconds, the three of them were laughing hard.
“Ok, guys. Do you want to know the baby’s sex?” The doctor asked while he picked up a little ultrasound scanner, pressing it onto Luna’s rounded belly.
They locked eyes, feeling the same emotion and both nodded wildly ‘yes’, unable to speak aloud. The doctor shook his head, rolling his eyes.
“Great.” He said, grinning as he swiveled his chair to one side, uncovering a screen. “Let’s see…hmmm…here’s one leg and this is an arm….” The doctor trailed off while fixing his gaze on the screen, moving the little scanner to the left side of Luna’s belly.
Vin’s eyes were wide open, while squeezing Luna’s hand gently as her eyes filled with tears…
Luna was smoking while her fingers flew over the keyboard completely immersed in her new fan fic based on Vin Diesel and Luna’s love story. She was writing the scene where they were going to discover their baby’s sex. Suddenly Luna could have sworn that she had heard someone moaning. So she shook her head and glanced at her chrono. It wasn’t time for the party to start.
Outside it had grown almost dark and Vin still hadn’t lit the lights for the party. Frowning, Luna stood up and went to the window to see what was happening on the terrace close to her room. Her eyes opened wide as soon as she saw who was making the noise.
There was a blonde chick blowing Vin’s bodyguard, Dave, who was sitting next to the swimming pool. She let her gaze wander, narrowing her eyes in suspicion, not wanting to think about it yet. There was another couple a few meters from Dave and the blonde girl.
Luna gasped soundlessly unable to believe what her green eyes were seeing. Vin was sniffing a line of coke while another chick, with long black hair, was blowing him.
Luna’s heart stopped dead and she felt like the air had been knocked out of her lungs. She shook her head wildly as she shut her eyes with such force that for a second Luna suspected that she wouldn’t be able to open them again. Luna hoped that this childish act would make it possible that the painful vision in front of her would vanish.
After the initial shock, Luna collapsed onto the floor, letting out the air she had been holding for quite a long time without being aware of it with a painful heavy sigh, forcing tears of anger back, cursing herself silently.
At that very moment, Luna’s first thought was to just run out of the house and return to her apartment, but that only would arouse suspicions about her behavior. Vin probably would like to know the reason why she had acted so strange, and Luna refused to show him or anyone else her real feelings. What would she answer anyway? That she was in love with him since the very first time she saw one of his movies? That she was in love with an illusion? With a lie?
Luna had placed Vin Diesel on a sacred pedestal so high that not even she could reach him anymore. Inside of her mind and her soul, Vin was absolute perfection in every sense of the word. So, she sucked it up and managed to keep her heart together even though right now it was shattered into a million pieces. Exactly the same number of pieces in which the image of her idol, Vin Diesel, had broken when he had fallen from his pedestal.
Way to go, Luna. Here you have your idol, Vin Diesel in the flesh and bones, she scolded herself silently.
Luna shut her eyes tightly and took a deep breath, trying to get rid of the vision. But the more she tried, the less she could. So after a moment, she gave up and returned to her laptop. Luna stared at the screen without really paying attention to the words that she had written. She then closed the file and opened the copy of Seth’s script.
Luna breathed deeply, cracked her neck bones and pulled out a new cigarette. She lit it up and started to write a new scene of the script while unnoticed tears rolled down her cheeks without restraint.
The real party started right on time, just like it was supposed to. Luna had heard the girls laughing, the music, people swimming in the pool, drinking and dancing. She didn’t feel like partying at all after what she had seen that day. So she focused all of her senses on the script.
Luna had a legal contract to fulfill and a date to finish that script. Apart from that she was a grown woman in her mid thirties, sexy, with a great ass and possibly a successful career as a scriptwriter in front of her. Luna wasn’t going to let one painful event affect her in such a way as to throw her professional career away after how hard she had worked to get where she was right now.
Luna had been so absorbed in her task that she had forgotten to eat, not that she really felt like eating something. She had been forcing back her nausea over the last two hours, but her body was constantly asking for attention.
Luna rolled her eyes and headed toward the kitchen. She could hear the people and the music on her way to the kitchen.
Vin had positioned two security guards at the entrance of the house to take care that nobody entered it while the party was taking place on the basketball yard.
Luna found Michael entering the house. “Hi, Luna.” He said, smiling broadly while he gave Luna the once over. She was dressed in a pair of jeans and a turquoise tank top.
She had a body there; she wasn’t an anorexic model like the chicks Vin dated. Luna didn’t have black hair, she was hazel with blonde highlights and her eyes were green, not brown. She had slightly more curves than she would have liked, but she was constantly working out at the gym with Renee every time they had a couple of hours free. Definitively, Luna did not suit Vin Diesel’s taste. Apart from that she was a woman, not a chick in her twenties.
“Hi, Mike.” Luna replied, smiling, but he noticed that her smile didn’t reach her eyes, and that they were slightly red.
Mike wasn’t sure whether it was because of the many hours in front of the computer or because she had been crying her eyes out.
Mike narrowed his eyes in suspicion. He knew that Luna was covering Renee’s job during the weekend, but he suspected that she had no idea about the party. He had spent quite some time with her as well as with Renee and Alice while the three of them were clubbing, and Mike felt that he knew them more than just a little.
He had always thought that if a man wanted to learn about women’s minds, hearts and feelings; all he had to do was stick with them while they were partying.
Mike liked Luna; she was funny and was always making jokes around people. Once, Mike even got the nerve up to ask her for a date, but Luna smiled and answered that she liked him like a big brother. Mike remembered that Luna had been the only woman along with Renee and Alice who never had treated him like one of Vin’s employees, or had tried to use him to get to Vin Diesel. On the contrary, she had always considered him as a good friend.
Mike cleared his throat, shaking his head as he focused his attention back on her. “Not your style of party, huh, sweetheart?” Mike asked softly. Luna shook her head ‘no’, frowning slightly. In response, he nodded.
Of course it wasn’t her style of party. Luna wasn’t a slut, hungry for a piece of Diesel’s dick. Mike heaved a hard sigh and continued with his task for the night.
Luna refused to act like a jealous teenager. She was a woman with a pair of balls that could match any of Vin’s bodyguards or even Vin himself. And maybe she wasn’t a professional actress, but she always could play a role, as long as she was still working for One Race Film, doing a more than a damned fine job pretending.
Luna entered the kitchen and went directly to the fridge, pulling out a diet coke. She opened the can and took a long drag. Then, she turned around and started to look for something to eat.
Luna was humming the songs she could hear while she was searching for the ingredients to make a cheese sandwich.
“Hey! Have you seen Vin?” Luna heard the voice of a girl at her back, pulling her out of her thoughts. Luna then turned her head and looked at the girl not really paying attention to her, shaking her head ‘no’. “Dave told me to come here and wait for him.” The girl added as she sat on one of the chairs in the kitchen.
A couple of minutes later Luna heard Vin’s voice on the other side of the door with Mike.
“I’m so excited. I’ve never had been in a celebrity’s party before.”
Vin was asking Mike if he had seen Dave’s blonde chick and something about a threesome. The girl continued talking.
“Vin is so sexy hot and handsome. I bet he’s big all over.” She giggled.
Luna cursed silently, rolling her eyes, and focused her attention on the sandwich she was making.
Mike answered that the girl was in the kitchen and that Luna was there too. After that they continued talking about the party and the hot as hell chicks Dave brought.
Luna turned on her heels and found the girl making a line on a small mirror she had placed on the table with a credit card. Luna narrowed her eyes, fixing every detail about the girl. She was wearing too much make up and she was dressed like a cheap whore, but it was her face that caught Luna’s attention. Even behind such an amount of make up, Luna suspected that she was no more than eighteen years old if that.
Suddenly Luna felt a strong shiver cross her spine and her stomach clenched painfully. Before she was able to stop herself Luna was speaking.
“How old are you?” She asked, tilting her head to one side. The girl snapped her head up, grinning evilly.
Luna frowned when the suspicions grew inside of her; the girl wasn’t eighteen at all. What the fuck…? Luna cursed silently as she headed toward the girl and without a second thought she grabbed her by her arm, pulling her to her feet.
“I asked you a fucking question. How old are you, kid?” Luna hissed, tightening her grip around the girl’s arm almost painfully.
The girl screamed as she tried to release herself from Luna’s hand. “Let me go, BITCH!” She yelled and struggled some more.
When Mike and Vin heard the girl screaming, they rushed inside the kitchen. Both men went motionless at the scene in front of them. Vin moved forward, frowning deeply.
“What the fuck is happening here?” He asked coldly, fixing Luna with a questioning gaze. Luna ignored Vin’s question as well as his presence and continued staring at the girl.
“I’m waiting, kid.” She muttered through clenched teeth. Vin frowned even more and then stared at the girl, shocked by Luna’s words.
“VIN, TELL THIS BITCH TO LET ME THE FUCK GO!” She cried, looking at Vin.
He then looked at Luna with a serious expression on his face. When Luna didn’t let her go, but fixed him with a cold menacing gaze, daring him to move a single muscle, if he had the balls, while she continued to tighten her grip around the girl’s arm. Finally the girl shouted.
“SEVENTEEN!!” Luna grunted annoyed as she let her go with a slight push.
Fucking bastard, Luna thought silently. Mike closed his eyes, shaking his head.
Vin’s eyes went wide; shocked as he looked at the girl from head to toe and realized that she looked much older.
“FUCK!” Vin cursed as he shut his eyes, rubbing his forehead. “Dave…” He trailed off, looking back at Luna.
Slowly, Luna locked eyes with Vin; her gaze as cold as ice, showing her anger mixed with her pain. Vin gasped and moved forward. Inexplicably, he found himself ready to apologize to Luna.
“Listen, I swear I didn’t know…” He trailed off as Luna chuckled, shaking her head.
“It’s your life, Vin. Not mine. But you should call Renee right now.” She said coldly as she looked at Vin as if he was the most disgusting thing in the world. Vin narrowed his eyes, tightening his jaw. “And if I were you, I would fire Dave.” Luna added, as serious as a heart attack. She then looked back at her sandwich and picking it up, she threw it in the trash bin. “I’m not hungry anymore. Enjoy your party, Mr. Diesel.” And with that, she headed directly to the door of the kitchen.
Vin shut his eyes, cursing silently. He didn’t know why but Luna’s words and her gaze had hurt him more than a kick straight in his balls with all her strength, making him feel like dirty scum.
“Good night, Mike.” Luna said over her shoulder and without stopping in her tracks, she continued walking back to her room.
“Good night, Luna.” Mike replied as he glanced at the girl from the corner of his eye. “What do you want me to do, Vin?” He asked, concern in his voice.
Vin then looked back at the girl who was now rubbing her arm at the spot where Luna had grabbed her, a few black tears on her cheeks caused by the eyeliner.
Vin looked down at the mirror with the two lines and closed his hands into fists. Taking a deep breath, he searched for his cell phone inside of his cargoes’ pocket and called Valentino.
“I need you both here right now.” Vin said deadly serious, staring at the girl, his voice unusually hoarse.
At the other side of the line, Valentino frowned, concerned as soon as he heard Vin’s tone of voice.
“What’s the matter, Vin?” Val asked, puzzled and worried as hell. Vin heaved a hard sigh, shaking his head.
“I’ll tell you when you’re here.” He replied and hung up the phone. Vin fixed the girl through narrowed eyes.
Sooner or later something like this was going to happen. He didn’t want to think about the headlines or how much this incident was going to cost him.
“What’s your name?” Vin asked her, his voice as deep as the ocean.
The girl locked eyes with him as she wiped her tears away, smiling broadly, thinking that maybe after all she was going to fuck the famous actor. At the end Vin Diesel was famous for liking them young, wasn’t he?
“Mandy.” She answered, grinning. Vin then returned his attention to Mike.
“Find that motherfucker Dave.” Vin hissed, annoyed, through clenched teeth, trying his best not to kill someone at that very moment. Mike nodded, patting Vin’s shoulder. “Party is over.” Vin added seriously as he rubbed his scalp.
At that very moment, Dave entered the kitchen, smiling. “Hey, Vin. How about a threesome with the blonde?” He asked, grinning.
Vin looked at him coldly, feeling his veins boiling with rage and in two seconds he rushed at Dave, punching his face with all his might.
Dave stumbled slightly and looked at Vin puzzled. Mandy screamed in fright as she moved backwards when she saw how Vin had punched his own bodyguard.
“What the fuck is with you, man?!” Dave asked while grabbing his bleeding nose.
Vin growled, rushing him again. Before he was able to punch Dave for second time, Mike got in his way, grabbing him. Vin struggled to release himself from Mike’s grip, grunting.
“Let me THE FUCK go, Mike. I’m gonna beat the shit out of this fucker!!!” Vin growled, struggling. Mike shook his head ‘no’ and tightened his embrace around Vin’s torso.
“Calm down, Vin, please.” Mike replied, grabbing Vin’s arm to prevent him from moving further.
“WHAT THE FUCK WERE YOU THINKING, MOTHERFUCKER?!” Vin shouted at the top of his lungs, as he looked Dave over from head to toe. A vein pounding in his forehead, his jaw tight. “BRINGING A MINOR HERE! ARE YOU FUCKING CRAZY, DAVE? FOR FUCK’S SAKE!” He roared as he tried again to release himself from Mike’s hold. Mike fixed Dave with a murderous gaze, doing his best to keep Vin off him.
Dave looked at the girl who was shaking in panic right now, and then back at Vin. “I…I didn’t know, Vin. She told me she was nineteen. I swear to you, man. I…” Vin cut him off.
“You’re fired. Get out of my house.” Vin hissed, pointing his finger to the door. His tone of voice didn’t leave any room to protest. When Dave didn’t move but stared at him defiantly, Vin shouted. “NOW!”
Dave grunted and turned on his heels, slamming the door after. Vin then looked at Mike, breathing through his nostrils. After a moment, he took a deep breath, trying to calm his ragged breathing.
“May I let you go, Vin?” Mike asked seriously. Vin nodded ‘yes’ and Mike released him, patting his back.
Vin cracked his neck bones as he looked at his hand, opening and closing it. He was sure that he had broken Dave’s nose with his fist because it hurt like hell.
“Take Mandy to my office. Renee is on her way.” He could already hear Renee’s shouts and picture her eyes turned completely green piercing him with a thousand questions.
“Come with me, honey.” Mike said gently as he grabbed her hand and squeezed lightly. Mandy looked at Vin, puzzled. When he just stood there looking at her with his arms crossed over his chest, she reluctantly nodded, and let Mike guide her.
Vin breathed through his nostrils, feeling his anger drain away slowly. He then shook his head and turned on his heels just to find Luna staring at him, leaned against the doorframe. He moved backward and stared at her in complete silence.
Without a word, Luna grabbed his hand and pulled him to the counter. Vin sighed hard and let her guide him. She opened the freezer and searched inside. Then she placed the ice cubes in a clean dishcloth, wrapping them, then turned around and wrapped Vin’s hand with it.
Vin looked at her completely puzzled for a second. Only a few minutes before she had been staring at him as if he was a piece of fucking shit and now, here she was taking care of his wounded hand.
“Renee asked me to help you in whatever you might need.” Luna said as she applied a little more pressure than necessary with her hands. Vin winced slightly as a hiss of pain escaped his lips. Luna chuckled at that. “I’m surprised that you can feel pain considering the fact that you’re high.” She thought to herself, looking down at his bruised hand. She hadn’t realized that she had spoken aloud until she heard Vin’s reply.
“Don’t you dare speak to me like that.” Vin growled menacingly, narrowing his eyes as he pulled his hand back. “And if I’m high or not it’s none of your fucking business, bitch.” He hissed through clenched teeth.
Luna snapped her head up, locking eyes with him. She knew full well that she should have kept her thoughts to herself, but her anger at that very moment and her temper, took the better of her.
“It is my fucking business because I saved your sorry ass tonight. So suck it up, Diesel.” Luna retorted, using exactly his same tone of voice, hissing through clenched teeth and turned on her heels. “And I’m not a bitch, asshole.” She added over her shoulder. In response, Vin grunted, fighting the urge to kick Luna’s ass out of his house at that very moment.
“And I’m not an asshole, bitch.” He muttered under his breath. Luna chuckled at the other side of the door.
“Yes, you are.” She replied without looking back at him.
Vin tightened his jaw and swallowed the smartass reply that was screaming inside of his brain because he knew full well that Luna was right.
If that incident made the rounds in Hollywood and the Studio would discover it, they would never let him shoot “Hannibal”. This kind of shit was the last thing he needed in his life right now. Vin grunted in frustration and headed towards the salon, cursing loudly, and waiting for Renee to come and fix his latest mess.
Valentino climbed off the bed as fast as he could while Renee entered the room, smiling broadly. Her smile died on her lips when he saw Val’s expression.
“What happened, Val?” Renee asked seriously. Val sighed deeply as he looked at her, concern written all over his face.
“It was Vin.” Was all Val said and Renee rolled her eyes, cursing silently.
She didn’t need Val to tell her. She could suspect that Vin had fucked up again.
“Damnit!” Renee exclaimed, annoyed. “One day, I swear to you, Val. I’m gonna beat the shit out of him.” She added as she went directly to the closet, grabbing her jacket.
One hour later, Renee was locked inside of Vin’s office speaking by phone with Mandy’s parents to make sure that the girl wasn’t going to make the tour around the media telling her little “adventure” at Vin Diesel’s house. Nothing that Renee couldn’t fix though. A check with several zeros and a phone call to a couple of modeling agencies and, voila, Mandy never ever had been at Vin Diesel’s place.
