Vin watched the cab until it was lost in the traffic and, grinning, he looked down at his forearm. Luna’s cell phone number written there. Beautiful eyes, Vin said silently as he got in the SUV, followed by the girls and Val.
For almost the entire ride back to his place Vin couldn’t stop thinking about her eyes, trying to recall their real colour. Green…No! Grey? All of sudden he wasn’t sure anymore and Vin felt the urge to find out before the night ended.
He was trying hard to keep focused on the girl’s conversation but after a minute he was only nodding and smiling, unable to get rid of the vision of Luna’s eyes. The girl was babbling something about one of his movies but Vin wasn’t paying any attention at all. His brain was too busy recalling everything about that spitfire, Luna.
As soon as they arrived at his place all the lights were switched on at once and everybody was everywhere. Music blared, drinks were flowing and the house was filled with people dancing, talking and partying. Some of them went directly to the swimming pool area, others to the large terrace and the rest were spread all over the ground floor, playing pool, video games or just having a good time.
Vin froze, looking around at them and then back to the girl who was stroking his arm up and down. Vin grinned, licking his lips. She was all ready and able to spread her legs for him in seconds, her eyes were sparkling with lust as she gave him the once over. Too easy, he found himself saying as he frowned slightly.
Without warning his mind conjured a vision of Luna’s eyes and Vin bent his head, pressing his full lips to the girl’s ear.
“I’ll be back in a sec. Make yourself at home.” Vin told her and kissed her softly.
He closed his eyes and conjured Luna’s lips. Are you pretending you are kissing Luna?
The silent question caught him off guard and Vin broke the kiss, staring at the girl’s eyes. Brown.
Vin frowned deeply as he slapped the girl’s bottom. In response she giggled and Vin grinned, gesturing for her to wait for him in the salon. The girl grinned wickedly and turned on her heels. Vin stared at her and shook his head when he saw her walking, bouncing up and down like a little girl.
Sighing hard he headed upstairs; toward his bedroom, and entering he closed and locked the door. Vin knew that there was a girl willing and able downstairs. A good fuck. Right here, right now. But all of sudden he wasn’t in the mood anymore. It’s more of the same, Vin. More of the same, he told himself, sighing heavily.
Then Vin raised his sleeve and grinned as soon as he saw how Luna had written her number on his skin. He remembered the moment when she was writing it and thought about her hands.
Beautiful hands, he thought.
Suddenly an image of her nails scratching his back as she reached her orgasm caused a shiver to run up his spine and Vin frowned.
“I need a cold shower.” He told himself, grinning.
Then he searched for a pen and a piece of paper to write the number down and without a second thought he headed toward the bathroom, undressing on his way.
As he took off his boots, he thought about her breasts. Neither big, nor small. Right size, he told himself. For a moment he stared down at his hands and thought about Luna’s size. The image of him stroking them softly hit him and this new vision caused a shiver to cross his body from head to toe.
Glancing down he found himself getting hard.
“Better make that cold shower a hot one.” He chuckled and getting to his feet, he looked at himself in the mirror, leaning slightly against the counter.
Let’s think about this for a second. She’s just a woman, right? Yeah but what a woman, Vin. He smiled at his reflection.
Vin always had loved strong and independent women. Well, that’s what she is with no doubt, she’s tough and she knows a few things about guys like you, Diesel. Vin grinned and turning around he stepped into the shower, adjusting the temperature and stood under the stream of warm water.
After a couple of minutes he was jerking himself off, thinking about Luna. He didn’t have a clue about why he just couldn’t push her out of his mind. She was beautiful and she had a killer ass, no doubt about that, but still, she was just a woman, like hundreds.
It was true that Luna had a mouth on her. It had been a while since the last time that Vin had crossed paths with a chick who was able to curse like a sailor. Maybe he should have been disappointed but he really liked her smart mouth and sure as hell she was a spitfire.
Vin stepped out of the shower. Think about how are you gonna deal with this, Diesel because this could be a hell of a ride if you play your cards right. He told himself as he dried. She’s smart and intelligent and she’s not just any chick, Vin, This Luna is a real woman.
He headed to his bedroom, naked, and looked for a pair of boxers. Ok, man, be honest, you’re curious. Vin said to himself as he stepped into his boxers and went in search of a tee-shirt. You are dying to know if you’d be able to get her, he thought as he put it on.
Vin sat on his bed and got comfortable with his back against the headboard. He grinned, and without a second thought Vin picked up the piece of paper, staring at it for a long moment.
Ok, Let’s play, he told to himself. Let’s see whatcha got there for me, Luna. Vin grinned as he picked up his cell phone. She’s not expecting for you to call her right away. And with that Vin dialed Luna’s cell phone number.
—————————————
Luna took a shower and after that she sat in front of her PC. She was unable to sleep even if her life depended on it so she decided she would check her emails. Amongst all of them, there was one from M. Luna smiled widely and opened it.
Gemini, stop fighting back your fate and start living for a change. Enjoy the present moment. Call me tomorrow. Hugs and kisses. M.
As she was re-reading the message Luna frowned slightly. When had M sent the message? Luna wondered as she glanced at her chrono. Holy Shit! It had been sent just exactly when she was arguing with herself about if she should give ‘caramel skin’ her number or not.
Fuck, M! You should get paid for this shit, woman! Luna exclaimed silently. Jesus, she can read my mind even half way across the planet. Luna laughed as she recalled the meaning of M’s words.
M had been her best friend since she couldn’t remember. M’s husband died a few years ago, after 25 years of unhappy marriage and M decided to move to the south of Spain.
M was an enigmatic woman that offered different performances depending on who was in front of her. Although, Luna knew, she was probably the only person in the world who knew the real M. She had the ability to say to everyone exactly what they needed to be told. And in spite of the veil of mystery that was always floating around her, the fact was that M was simple in her tastes even though she was one of the most rich and powerful women in the country.
Luna remembered the message M gave her. “Crossing salad water, in a place full of stars you will find a man and his heart will be plenty of goodness.”
Luna frowned deeply. M had bizarre instincts and she shivered slightly thinking about some of things M had said to her over the years. It wasn’t that M had special powers or anything like that, but she sure as hell wasn’t a common person either.
Luna stared at the screen of her PC, thinking about M’s words. “A man with his heart plenty of goodness.” She repeated to herself. “Don’t fuck this up.”
Suddenly her cell phone rang, making her jump on her chair. In two seconds her heart started to race like never before and Luna felt as if a thousand butterflies were wildly flying inside her stomach.
Oh, shit. That sensation again! She whimpered.
Luna picked up her cell phone up and fixed her gaze on the little screen. Just one word. Unknown.
Immediately, she felt her heart beating faster and swallowed hard.
“Hello?” She answered as her heart started to beat faster inside her chest.
Let’s play, Vin thought.
“Still awake?” He teased. Luna went silent, chewing her bottom lip.
Luna was fearing that deep voice again because she was sure what would happen. In one second, her heart doubled its rhythm and Luna wondered if she would end up having a heart attack.
“Who is this?” She asked as she did her best to keep her heartbeats under control, taking slow long breaths. You know perfectly well who the fuck it is, Luna, her voice retorted.
Ok, tough girl. She knows who is it, but she’s pretending. Vin told to himself.
“I was wondering what the colour of your eyes is?” He asked as he felt how his own heart started to race. Calm down. You are in control. Vin said to himself.
“I thought you had a party to be at, Mr. Diesel.” Luna replied. Her hands were shaking and she bit her lips harder. Relax, Luna. Remember, he’s just a man. Sexy and hot, but also an asshole. She reminded herself.
“Green or grey?” Vin asked. Get the damned info, man, he cursed.
“Do you know what time is it?” Luna asked as she stood and started to pace back and forth around her room.
“Answer me, Luna. Green or grey?” Vin repeated the question, and his voice had a hint of exasperation. Come on, babe, don’t be so tough, he thought as he played with the piece of paper between his fingers.
“Why do you want to know?” Luna asked as she continued pacing like an animal caged, chewing her lips.
“Luna, don’t do that.” Vin said completely serious.
“Do what?” Luna retorted arching both brows.
“Stop chewing your lips or you will end up bleeding again.” Vin answered, laughing softly.
Luna’s eyes almost popped out of her face as she turned around so fast she almost lost her balance. What the fuck? She thought as she narrowed her eyes. How the hell did he know?
Vin laughed silently. He was sure that he had scored a point. This was so much fun. Luna was so much fun and really easy to tease. Vin simply couldn’t pass up the opportunity to fuck with her mind. So, he dropped his tone of voice to a sensual rumble and spoke.
“It will kill me to see those sensual lips bleeding, babydoll.”
All of sudden, Luna felt her anger rising fast and she spoke in the coldest tone.
“Who said I’m chewing my lips?” She hissed, narrowing her eyes. She couldn’t believe how fast this asshole was able to get her.
Yeah, Vincent. One point, man. He told himself.
“I do. By the way, do you always answer a question with another?” Vin asked grinning. “You should know that a woman like you should use her lips just to kiss.” He whispered. This had turned out to be better than fucking the brains out of some chick.
Luna arched a brow as she looked at her phone. “A woman like me should hang up the damn phone right now, asshole.” She whispered coldly but she knew full well that she wouldn’t do that because she was too curious about where he was heading with this little childish game of his.
“Luna, you know you won’t hang up the phone.” Vin said without thinking. As soon as his words left his lips, Vin winced slightly and cursed himself silently. Too far, man, don’t push her, he scolded himself. All of sudden he wasn’t sure if she was going to send him to hell. “Wait, Luna. Do you want to know why I called you?” His voice sounded so sweet and deep at once that Luna shivered. “Are you curious, Luna?” Vin asked as he made himself more comfortable onto his bed.
Do you wanna play? Fine by me, Vin. Let’s play. Luna swallowed hard as she took a deep breath.
“Yes. I’m curious. So what? No big deal, Vin. I’m curious about many things such as can you say something original? Or you will say one more time ‘what a killer ass, babydoll’ because I sure as hell hope you can come up with better lines, Mr. Diesel.” Luna replied as she got comfortable on the king size bed.
Vin went silent as he shut his eyes. She was right; it wasn’t that he had been that original after all. However, those lines always worked with chicks. Problem was that Luna wasn’t a chick; she was a woman.
Point to Luna, babe. Two can play this game of yours, asshole.
“Have a lunch with me, Luna.” Vin said, all trace of joking gone from his voice. He was tired of this game and he wanted to see her again.
“Why do I have to have lunch with you?” Luna asked, smiling. She felt a little more relaxed now and her heartbeats were starting to slow down. Don’t fuck this up, Luna. You won’t meet a man like him again. Her own voice told her
“Let me make it up to you. I’m not that bad a guy, you know?” Vin explained, and put as much reassurance as he could in his words. Luna noticed and grinned.
Luna remained in complete silence, thinking about his offer. It’s enough, Luna. Game over. “Okay. When and where?”
“Tomorrow. At my place.” Vin answered as he swallowed hard. “Val will pick you up at one o’clock.” He added and went silent. Come on baby say yes.
Luna recalled the words of M and the meaning of them. After a long moment she spoke. “All right.” I’m too tired for games. Vin couldn’t help the huge grin that graced his lips.
Luna gave him the name of the hotel and she was going to hang up the phone when she found herself thinking about his first question.
“Vin?” Luna asked, suddenly her voice sounded extremely deep.
“Huh?” Was all he could manage.
Vin was still processing his little victory over Luna, but suddenly the idea that she wasn’t going to come made him panic. Don’t change your mind now, woman.
“Green.” Luna finally admitted, hanging the phone.
“I was almost sure.” Vin whispered, but Luna didn’t heard him. Green, he echoed inside his brain.
Vin then closed his eyes, still grinning and thought about her green eyes. Suddenly, Vin Diesel was no longer interested in the party downstairs or the chick waiting for him.
He stretched on his big bed and closed his eyes, sighing hard. Once more, his mind conjured up a vision of Luna as Vin recalled their conversation. Funny, I’ve got you, Luna. Yeah, babe. I still have my touch. I did win this set, but really, did I? He thought, as he got comfortable. Vin raised his arms and rested them behind his head, staring at the ceiling. He fell asleep thinking about Luna’s eyes.
—————————-
Funny. He won this round, but maybe he believes that it was me that did it. Luna told herself. Don’t count on that, her inner voice retorted. If she heard her voice once more… Ok, it’s an option. She told herself as she wrapped her arms around her pillow.
Luna closed her eyes as a heavy sigh escaped her lips. Chocolate brown eyes, she thought. Beautiful hands. Big and smooth, she told herself as she conjured up a vision of Vin’s hands stroking her skin.
A strong shiver crossed her spine. His massive back, full of muscles and his arms. She thought about his arms holding her as a new shiver ran up her spine. Oh, Jesus! What if…? What he’s big all over, Luna, sugar?
Luna laughed hard. Ok, let it go, Luna. It’d be better if you sleep a few hours or tomorrow you’ll look like shit.
Suddenly she jumped on the mattress, snapping her eyes open. Tomorrow! Mierda, what am I gonna wear? She asked herself in a panic.
