Chapter 9
I’m too damn confused and all of sudden I find myself without the strength to think about anything, let alone speak. I just need a break. God, please, give me a fucking break.

Chapter 8
I said I loved her.
The words just slipped from my lips before I gave them a second thought, before I could stop myself. I didn’t realize I had spoken aloud though, that is until she chuckled sadly, climbing out of bed, her gaze never leaving mine.

Chapter 23
Santo Domingo. (Dominican Republic)
Val squeezed Luna’s hand and stood. Vin followed Val’s move with his eyes, a murderous gaze flashing in them.
“It’s been almost fifteen years, Vin.” Val said as he looked at him. Vin held his gaze, cursing Valentino silently and after a long moment he looked back at Luna.

I can’t figure Reynaldo paying a hell of a lot of money to this bizarre wimp.

Chapter 6
Hanna is not crying anymore, she’s talking now with her superior, I guess, because she’s reporting the cops’ death. Hanna’s voice is cold, emotionless and I sigh hard, shaking my head. The Ice Queen is back.

Chapter 5
I’ve been sitting at this table for what seems like years with Reynaldo’s file in front of me.
It’s amazing to me how much intell Hanna has about him. I don’t even want to think about how the FBI is able to collect this kind of information though; it sends shivers up my spine when I realize that there are no secrets for these fuckers. The FBI knows almost everything about everybody.

Chapter 20
Santo Domingo. (Dominican Republic)
Luna was lying on top of the big bed, over the sheets, on her back. Her eyes were closed and her legs slightly spread. She was as naked as the day she was born.
