Chapter 46
New York.
Luna leaned against Vin’s shoulder as the limo headed out in the direction of the Plaza Hotel where the after wedding party would take place. She felt happy, full of joy actually and smiled widely when Vin grinned, pulling her closer to him.
Renee and Valentino had finally married and Luna couldn’t hold more happiness for her best friends within her heart.
Renee looked beautiful even though her nose had been running and her eyes puffed. Nila and Samantha had re-done her make-up but still the sight of tears had been impossible to wipe completely away. Not that it mattered. Renee looked breathtaking. It was true that old saying about every single bride looked beautiful on her wedding day.
Luna giggled as a vision of Val saying ‘fuck it’ after his second attempt to remember his vows had failed. Then the sexy Latino had taken Renee’s hands in his and he had improvised his vows; his very soul speaking his deepest feelings for his wife to be.
Two seconds later, every single guest had been witness of how much unconditional love Val professed for Renee and almost all of them had ended up crying, overwhelmed with the emotions Val was pouring out of his heart.
Then it had been Renee’s turn and she had quoted her vows, smiling through tears of joy. If at that point there was still someone who wasn’t crying, Renee’s words melted every single living soul within Saint Peters Church.
Luna grinned, thinking about how Vin had discretely adjusted himself after giving her a long once over that caused Luna’s legs to turn almost to jelly. In fact she had wet her panties, well g-string more like it. That was the reason why she had gotten rid of it before she got in the limo.
Luna’s mind drifted to the wedding once more and her happiness clouded a little. She couldn’t help it but she felt a little sad thinking about her own wedding. Well, what she could remember of it.
It wasn’t that Luna would have liked a wedding like the one Val and Renee had, but still, she would have loved to be able to remember every single detail, just as her friends would remember. To be able to tell her grandchildren about the day she got married. So far the reality was too bizarrely undignified to tell.
Luna felt tears rising fast and closed her eyes, taking a slow breath. She didn’t want to go there; didn’t want to remember how she had ended up married in the first place. Definitely not while having Vin at her side, holding her and smiling as if he didn’t have a care in the world. And it was true.
Vin was so happy for Valentino that that was the only thing he could keep his mind focused on. That and how beautiful Luna looked. Damn! He had a hard on while watching her padding to the aisle a few steps ahead of his dad and Renee. It hadn’t been just her lavender bridesmaid dress consisting of a tight bustier that pushed up her breasts or the long sensual skirt attached to it, but the fact that she was glowing.
For a second he felt a little pang of guilt stabbing his guts because he didn’t remember what Luna was wearing for their own wedding. The fact that they hadn’t written their vows was another thing that busied his mind for a long moment. The guy from the chapel had given them a list of vows to chose. Their words hadn’t come from their hearts even though they had made sense.
Vin sighed softly and pushed aside all those thoughts, forcing his brain to focus on the here and now. Today was a happy day; a day to celebrate and to toast for the newlyweds.
Nevertheless Vin had no doubt that the most wonderful moment he had enjoyed over the ceremony hadn’t had anything to do with Val and Renee getting married but with Luna and himself. He may be acting selfishly but he couldn’t help it.
The priest had pronounced Val and Renee husband and wife, and at that very second Luna and Vin had locked eyes with each other and they both had shuddered fiercely. It had felt as if their bond had been renewed.
Vin smiled happily and glanced at Luna’s face. His smile died on his lips as soon as he found tears silently rolling down his wife’s cheeks. He wasn’t sure if they were tears of joy or sadness.
Frowning in concern, Vin tilted his head, kissing her temple, with his tenderness pulling Luna out of her thoughts.
She opened her eyes, blinking her blurry vision and met Vin’s teary gaze.
At once they both found themselves recalling the events that had taken place over the last months. It wouldn’t be possible to avoid thinking about the sad memories such as that horrible first weekend, Luna’s sickness, the baby they decided not to have, their sudden wedding, Vin’s lies.
But not all had been sadness, there was happiness too.
Their first night at ‘Black Star’; their honey moon in Bora Bora; an improvised lovely picnic in their garden, playing 20 questions so they could know each other better. A romantic walk at a deserted beach under the moonlight; a day at the zoo with Adiana and Chris; a sex marathon with porn, toys and scented oils.
Vin tightened his hold around Luna’s body and she snuggled closer, entwining their fingers.
28 days ago they had joined their lives not only to become husband and wife, or to be lovers, friends and confidants, but also to be the shoulder they would lean on, the rock they would rest and the companion for each other.
Today, Vin and Luna felt as if they had married again and so, without letting go of each other eyes, they both smiled, purposely choosing without words to forget the sadness in their past, keeping only the happiness and joy.
Vin cleared his throat. “I was thinking about getting some time off once the shooting is done.” He whispered, stroking Luna’s arm up and down. “Maybe we could go somewhere or just stay at home, enjoying each other’s company. Or maybe we could plan our wedding?” She arched a brow, blinking and Vin smiled shyly. “I would love to marry you again but do it the right way. With our family and friends. Here or in LA.” He shrugged his shoulder. “Maybe at that little church you liked; the one in San Jose.”
Luna smiled through her tears and squeezed Vin’s hand causing their wedding rings to clink together.
“San Jose sounds wonderful.” She whispered, swallowing forcefully pass a small lump within her throat.
Vin turned Luna in his arms and kissed her with everything in him, showing his wife his deepest feelings, expressing through that kiss much more than any words would do.
When they came apart their gazes met once more. He wanted to do the right thing this time and for that, he needed to start all over again. So Vin slid out the seat and dropped to one knee as he took Luna’s right hand in his.
“Will you marry me again, Mrs. Vincent?” Vin whispered, his eyes flickering to hers, his voice shook with the emotions he was feeling and Luna noticed.
Her breath caught in her throat as she gasped, her eyes widening. “Yes, I will,” she smiled brightly, “I will, Mr. Vincent.” Luna added, laughing and brought her lips to his once more.
Breaking the kiss long enough to talk Vin pushed the button to speak with the driver without sliding down the black panel separating the front side of the limo from the back.
“Please, take the longest route to The Plaza.” His voice sounded rough with desire and the driver chuckled through the intercom.
“Yes, sir.” Was his reply as he obliged, grinning. It wasn’t the first time he had been asked such a thing. It was fun and he would have another anecdote to tell his children someday, once he was retired.
Luna giggled and Vin smiled, capturing her lips.
This was not the most romantic place but what the hell! Sex in a limo wasn’t something new for them but still it sounded like a lot of fun.
Luna was breathless when his hands gently tugged her lavender dress and he slid his hands back and down her ass, squeezing softly.
“Spread your legs, baby.” Vin whispered huskily, his lips brushing her earlobe. In response, Luna shivered and did it without thinking.
Removing the tie from his tuxedo, Luna unbuttoned his shirt. Then she leaned forward, kissing and sucking Vin’s chest.
Vin’s hands slid up her thighs, caressing her soft skin, his fingertips digging as they continued sliding up. His brows arched at once when he found no barriers in his path.
“Where’s the g-string?” he groaned as Luna squeezed his hard cock through the fabric of his pants.
“Forgot to wear one.” She whispered, nipping his neck, grinning when his cock twitched.
“Fuck.”

The Plaza Hotel.
Renee’s and Valentino’s after wedding party
Everything was going as planned. The food was delicious, the guests were chatting with each other, dancing and drinking. People were laughing and having fun. It was perfect and Vin smiled happily.
Val and Renee had vanished an hour ago. Not even one guest asked where they were. It was obvious.
Vin was sitting at one of the tables, sipping from a bottle of beer and smoking. His eyes wandering absently, taking in every single guest until they rested on Roberto. He was chatting with one of the members of the band and Vin frowned slightly.
They had greeted each other, shaking hands politely and that had been all. Vin didn’t like Roberto and he wouldn’t pretend. But he had kept an eye on him over the night just to make sure he didn’t get too close to Luna.
A vision of Luna and Roberto dancing in Santo Domingo popped without warning within Vin’s brain and he tightened his jaw hard enough to hurt. He knew he was being childish, at the end Luna was his wife. Roberto didn’t have a chance anymore but still, Vin felt jealous and he didn’t like the sensation.
Out of the corner of his eye Vin spotted Luna and she was dancing with his dad. They were laughing and chatting and Vin felt all his anger draining in seconds. That he liked, a lot actually. The fact that Luna had gotten that close to his parents really pleased Vin and he smiled widely.
Luna was not only tall but she was wearing impossible high heels as well. So watching her dancing with Irving was causing more than one grin to spread on the faces around them.
His dad’s head was at Luna’s breast level and even Delora was laughing at the vision, watching her husband’s goofy grin.
Vin rolled his eyes, chuckling. From the spot Vin was watching them it seemed as if his dad was talking with Luna’s breasts instead of with her. Vin grinned widely and shook his head a little.
His dad was a harmless adorable perv, but a perv nonetheless. Vin laughed inwardly and sipped from his beer. He could almost hear his dad saying ‘well, hello, ladies’.
His grin died on his lips as soon as Vin watched Roberto tapping Irving’s shoulder, talking briefly and then his dad was nodding and Luna was dancing with Roberto in seconds.
Vin let out a low growl and straightened completely. He was about to get on his feet when his mom pressed a hand on his shoulder, pushing Vin down and taking a seat at his side.
“They are just dancing, Mark.” Delora whispered as she patted her son’s hand gently. Vin narrowed his eyes but kept silent. He would calm himself a little and then he would go get his wife.
“So you did it, eh?” Roberto teased Luna, glancing at her wedding ring. Luna followed his line of vision and smiled. “Felicidades, princesa.” (Congratulations, princes) He whispered sincerely.
“Gracias, Berto.” (Thanks, Berto) She answered, feeling all of a sudden a little awkward dancing with him.
The last time they had seen each other it had been at his house in Santo Domingo and they had been about to have sex. It was strange and a little uncomfortable to act as if nothing had happened back then.
It was true that they hadn’t gone too far but still they both knew that they would have ended up spending the night together if Vin hadn’t have gotten in the middle with his schemes. Who knew where they all would be today. Somehow it didn’t feel right but Luna couldn’t help and wondered what if.
Roberto felt her tension and smiled a little. He didn’t like the idea of Luna feeling uncomfortable around him. Roberto wasn’t stupid, he knew what she may be thinking; he was secretly wondering the same. But he also knew that Luna was off limits now. Roberto wouldn’t make any move on her; he was too decent for that, but he could still enjoy dancing with her one last time.
A slight gesture of his head to one of the members of the band playing live music and the soft slow melody changed to faster rhythm and salsa music started to sound.
Luna blinked, meeting Roberto’s eyes and he winked at her. Without giving her time to react, Roberto pulled her to him fast and started swinging his hips in the rhythm of the music. Luna took a deep breath and followed his moves. She wouldn’t miss a chance to dance one last time with Roberto, at the end they wouldn’t see each other again.
A minute later the rest of the people crowding the dance floor moved backward, leaving Luna and Roberto more room. They seemed to move as one body, synchronizing their swings. It was one hell of a show and everybody stopped dancing just to stare at them.
Vin put out his cigarette and tensed every single muscle in his body, which caused Delora to tense as well.
“Motherfucker.” Vin muttered under his breath, closing his hands in fists. “Should have known he would pull some shit like this.” His anger was as clear as a sunny day and Delora sighed hard.
Then she looked briefly at Luna and Roberto and back to Vin. An angry vein pounding in his forehead was the unmistakable sign. Her son was about to explode.
“Mark Sinclair Vincent, don’t you dare.” Delora whispered seriously, feeling her son trembling with the restraint he was using to not go there, beating the life out of Val’s cousin.
She was oblivious about the details but guessed that Luna and Roberto had some kind of past in common. They way they were looking at each other, laughing and grinning and dancing almost as if they were alone instead of surrounded by people.
Delora knew they were just dancing, but damn! They looked good together and even she could see that. No wonder Vin was shaking with anger. Everybody may be thinking the same judging by the expressions written on most of the guests’ faces.
After what seemed a damn eternity for Vin but was only minutes, the song ended and he stood so fast that his mom wouldn’t have time to stop him. Striding with long steps, Vin crossed the large salon in record time, stopping right next to Luna and Roberto.
They were panting; laughing and thanking the crowd that were clapping wildly and whistling at their wonderful performance.
Fighting back the sudden urge to punching Roberto in the face, Vin grabbed Luna’s arm as gently as he could manage and pulled her to him.
“You don’t mind, do you?” He butted in causing Roberto to take a step back. Sarcasm was heavy in Vin’s voice and Luna narrowed her eyes slightly. She didn’t like it but kept silent. This was not the place to make a scene.
“Why, of course not, man. She’s your wife, after all.” Roberto replied, the corner of his lips pulling up in a sardonic grin.
Luna watched as Vin’s neck muscles strained and felt his hand tightening his grip on her upper arm. If he kept applying pressure he would end up leaving a bruise. She struggled a little and Vin released her arm just to encircle her waist.
“Yeah, that she is. Do not forget it…Berto.” Vin whispered, all trace of sarcasm gone in seconds just to be replace with a coldness that should have shocked Luna to her core but instead it pissed her off.
She hated when people did that. Talking about someone as if that someone wasn’t even there, hearing them. Luna’s parents used to do that, a lot, and she was getting madder with every second.
Roberto’s grin died on his lips at the tone of voice Vin had used with him and he leaned forward a little bit, so no one could hear them.
“I won’t forget it, Vin. I have never forgotten anything in my life.” Roberto matched Vin’s coldness and narrowed his eyes.
Roberto had found out who was behind the infamous phone call that caused him to lose his only chance with Luna.
“In fact, I’ll keep it in my mind 24/7 since I’m moving to New York.” He added.
Luna blinked and looked down. New York wasn’t big enough to hold Vin and Roberto at once. She fought back a giggle when a vision of both men staring at each other in the middle of Central Park ready to pull out their guns as if they were two cowboys in a western movie popped in her mind.
A low growl coming from Vin’s chest pulled Luna back to the present moment and she cleared her throat. She had had enough macho shit for one night to deal with for a lifetime.
“That’s great, Roberto.” Luna said, moving forward, standing between the two men. “It’s been cool to see you again. Thanks for the dance.” She leaned in a bit, kissing Roberto’s cheek, noticing how Vin’s arms tightened around her waist. His body was radiating heat and it wasn’t because he was excited about having Luna pressed to him.
“It had been my pleasure…princess.” Roberto replied, ignoring Vin’s menacing gaze.
Luna nodded, smiling and then turned in Vin’s arms. “Wanna dance with your wife, Mr. Vincent?” She clawed her nails on Vin’s forearm to catch his attention. He blinked once and met her gaze.
Luna’s eyes were smoldering and he knew better than to push his luck with his wife. Luna wasn’t a woman to mess with and, right now she was mad as hell, he could tell. However, he wasn’t done with Roberto.
Without saying anything he nodded and then glared at Roberto, not caring if someone else might notice the way both of them were facing each other like fighting cocks with Luna trapped in between.
“Good night, Mr. Morales.” Vin said coldly and turned around not even waiting for an answer. Roberto chuckled, shaking his head. If Vin thought he was a man to mess with, the actor was dead wrong.
“What’s with you, Vin?” Luna whispered through clenched teeth.
She was not going to let him get away with such behavior. Much less considering that she wasn’t sure if it was just jealousy of Roberto or Vin’s male pride being wounded. She couldn’t help but feel like a property being disputed over.
“You tell me.” He glared at her. In response Luna blinked, tilting her head back, so she could look at his eyes.
“We were just dancing.” She replied, slightly shocked. For a second Luna thought about if that was all they had been doing.
“You call that ‘dancing’?” Vin arched a brow, a cold gaze sparkling. Luna averted her eyes for a second. Who was she kidding? It hadn’t felt that way and she knew it. Cursing silently, Luna pressed her body to Vin and met his infuriated gaze.
She should have been the one getting angry but somehow what she saw reflected in her husband’s gaze caused her to feel guilty. He felt embarrassed. She had embarrassed him with her out of order behavior. She shouldn’t have accepted a dance with Roberto. Especially with Vin’s family and close friends witnessing.
Vin waited for her to argue further. It didn’t happen and he frowned deeply.
“I’m sorry.” Luna closed her eyes and rested her cheek on his shoulders. Vin took a deep breath and did his best to relax.
He wouldn’t let Roberto’s attempt to get in his marriage succeed, but he wouldn’t forget about Luna’s reaction either.
