Secrets 53

Chapter 53

New York (Vin’s parents house)

Luna heard the shower running and sighed in relief; she needed a few minutes to put her thoughts together. She was not going to take bullshit from Vin; she was more than fed up. And she had made up her mind too. Luna was not going back to Alabama no matter what.

It had been hard as hell to keep fighting the temptation to call Vin, asking him to come and join her in New York. And now he was here, of his own will. Luna wondered why he had decided to come. Was he expecting to convince her to give in? Well, if that was the case, Vin was wasting his time and hers because she had done sacrificing her career for his.

Kicking off her shoes, Luna padded to the bed, noticing that there was no trace of his suitcases only a couple of shopping bags on the bed. They were from one of Vin’s favourite men’s boutiques. A light frown crumpled her forehead and, leaving the small shopping bag that she had clutched in her hand on the bed, Luna peered inside.

A couple of pairs of jeans, cargoes, several t-shirts, socks and some boxers. Luna grinned. Vin had bought clothes for himself but all of them were to her taste.

Her grin vanished when Luna noticed that there was a small but large black, velvet box at the bottom of one of the bags. Did Vin really think a piece of jewellery was going to make her melt?

Think of something better, gillipollas. Luna cursed silently and straightened when she heard the door of the bathroom being opened.

Spinning around, Luna gasped as soon as Vin emerged wearing just a towel. Unconsciously, her gaze traveled fast, taking in as many details as possible without actually letting Vin be aware of her gaze glued to his body.

The sight of all that caramel skin glistening with countless drops of water and those muscles twitching as he knotted the towel low on his hips was silently killing Luna. The fact that Vin had stopped shaving his head since the shooting started as a part of his role’s characterization wasn’t helping, and to top it off he was wearing a goatee!

Luna cursed herself silently and averted her eyes before Vin could catch her giving him the once over. Luna could make Vin get a hard on in record time but Vin sure as hell was able to make her wet her panties just that damned fast too. She was so fucked she felt like beating herself to death.

It had to be a crime to look like that. The motherfucker shouldn’t be allowed to look so damn good at all.

Vin lifted his head and froze in place. The only sound that escaped his lips was a whispered ‘fuck’ as soon as his gaze rested on Luna. She looked fucking gorgeous even though she was wearing just jeans and a tank top.

Vin noticed that she had done her hair, just cutting it slightly and adding some shades. She wasn’t in make-up though he could still see lip-gloss and mascara were there. Her nails were in a perfect French manicure and Vin bet money that she had waxed, all over. His gaze slid for a fraction of a second and his cock twitched under the cotton fabric of the towel as soon as Vin saw the small shopping bag with the lingerie boutique’s exclusive logo printed on it.

Swallowing forcefully, Vin leaned against the doorframe, crossing his legs in a lame attempt to hide his little fella’s reaction. Shit, he was so fucked! He could smell Luna from where he was standing and her scent was driving him crazy.

Vin knew that he wasn’t getting any, at least until he was able to melt Luna who, judging by the expression written all over her face, he was sure it was more than just far from happening any time soon.

Clearing his throat, Vin plunged ahead. “I’m sorry, baby.”

“I’m not going back to Alabama.” Luna whispered coldly, as if Vin hadn’t said anything at all. He frowned. “I’m going to LA, tomorrow.”

Even though Vin already knew that, still the coldness in her voice shocked him to the core.

“I know.” Vin replied then moved forward just one step. “I’m really sorry, Luna.”

In response, she knit a brow and crossed her arms over her chest.

Fuck! Vin sighed hard. Who was he kidding? He damn well knew that he could be saying ‘I’m sorry’ until the Judgement Day came and still it wouldn’t get him anywhere. You better start thinking with the right head, Vincent.

“I came to work things out, Luna.”

Luna blinked, unsure of what to say. He sounded sincere, but something was odd. Then she narrowed her eyes in suspicion. Guilt was reflected in his eyes and Luna didn’t like it.

“And…”

Vin cursed silently. Luna could read him as if he was an open book. She knew there was something more and Vin was unable to hide it from her. He didn’t want to.

“We have trouble, baby.” He didn’t break eye contact with her and Luna chewed her lower lip. Vin wasn’t kidding and Luna suspected that he was not only talking about their marriage.

“What kind of trouble, Vin?” She asked, feeling her heart starting to beat faster.

“Breach of contract kind of trouble.” Vin answered, deadly serious.

Luna shut her eyes, cursing herself silently. She didn’t need the details; she damn well knew what Vin was talking about. The fucking sex scene. Luna cringed inwardly, she should have known better than to think that the Studio was going to let her get away for the hell of it. Much less taking into consideration that Marcela, Richard and Sheila were all on the same side, scheming, plotting and joining efforts to reach their own particulars goals.

“They’re going to sue me.” Luna muttered, taking a seat on the bed.

“No, they won’t.” Vin shook his head and Luna frowned puzzle. “They’ll take it out on me.”

“What?!” Luna got to her feet. Vin nodded.

“The Studio will turn its back to any of my future projects, Luna.” Vin explained evenly. They both knew what he was saying without actually voicing it aloud.

Luna gritted her teeth. Of course, what had she been thinking? Luna had to give Marcela credit. With one brilliantly dirty move, Vin’s agent had turned Luna into the person directly responsible for jeopardizing Vin’s ultimate dream. And Luna had helped her.

The old witch had set a trap and Luna had fallen without even realizing it. In a blink of an eye, Luna was being forced to sacrifice her principles, going against everything she believed and respected so that Vin was able to shoot ‘Hannibal’.

“That’s blackmail, Vin.” Luna whispered.

“That’s how things work in Hollywood, Luna.” Vin sighed hard.

Luna chuckled coldly. “Hollywood sucks big time.”

“You’re telling me.” Vin shrugged his shoulders.

He had been dealing with this kind of shit for years. It was more of the same old ways. Blackmailing, power games, secret deals and an endless chain of favors waiting to be repaid.

If you wanted to make it big you better be ready to leave aside every single principle and shred of morality you had. You were in or you were out. There was no half way. Most people were just puppets in the hands of a bunch with real power.

Luna sighed, defeated. To hell with her pride. Vin deserved to shoot his movie; he had been working damn hard just to be able to make a reality of ‘Hannibal’.

“What do you want me to do?” She asked, barely above a whisper as she looked down.

Vin swallowed, he knew right then that Luna would do anything he asked her for. Still, something within his core broke at the sight of Luna exposing herself in such a way. Vin didn’t like it. Not after knowing personally how it felt to be cornered with no way out. He wouldn’t take advantage of this misfortunate turn of events. He refused to use Luna, his own wife, as a pawn in a game she had gotten involved in just because she had married a Hollywood star.

“I don’t want you doing something we both know goes against what you are.” Vin answered, closing the distance between them but not quite touching her yet. “I don’t want you turning into someone like me.” He whispered.

Luna’s head snapped up and she looked at Vin as if he had grown a second head. Watching Luna’s reaction caused a tiny smile to tug the corner of Vin’s mouth. She wasn’t expecting such a reply on his part and Vin liked the fact that he had shocked his wife with his words. Deep down, he knew he was doing the right thing. Even if it meant he had to wait forever to be able to shoot ‘Hannibal’

Luna’s eyes filled with tears. Vin was not only ready to sacrifice his own dreams for her but he was also willing to place her ahead of him. Her self-centered, egocentric husband was thinking about her needs and not his. And that was definitively a novelty.

“Vin…” Luna breathed, swallowing the choking knot on her throat. “You don’t have to…I’ll write the…”

Vin pressed a finger against her lips, silencing her. He didn’t want to run the risk of taking Luna up on her offer. He suspected that she would regret it forever and that she’d end up putting the blame on him for taking advantage of her moment of weakness. He had done it in the past and he vowed that he wouldn’t do it again, not if he could help it. And right now, he could.

“No fucking way. We’ll find another way.” Vin whispered, tracing her lower lip with his thumb. “A couple of years won’t make any difference.” He added, smiling sadly.

At the end it was a movie. His ultimate dream, that was true, but still, it was just a movie.

Luna mimicked Vin’s smile as she took his hands in hers, interlacing their fingers. “We will make it, Vin. We will find a way to shoot ‘Hannibal’, together.” She whispered in a strangled voice, locking eyes with him. “I don’t have a clue how or when, but I know we will do it, if we work as a team.”

Right now, staring at Luna’s eyes, Vin didn’t care about the countless hours of researching or the trips across Europe in search of the natural scenarios to shoot.

He didn’t give a damn about all those endless nights and days he had spent in front of his PC working on the preproduction or the fact that he had installed a huge tent in the middle of his basketball court inside ‘Black Star’ to work on his project. Or the small fortune he had already invested without option for a return.

He didn’t even care about the cruel jokes that were almost a constant in meetings and parties all over Hollywood, making fun of himself and his ‘coming soon’ projects, adding ‘Hannibal’ to his other pending project ‘Strays’ or the fact that he was losing credibility with his continuous delays.

Right now, all that Vin cared about was to not lose her wife or himself in the process. And if in order to get that he ran the risk of losing the support of the Studio, well, fuck them. He was more than willing to assume such a risk as long as he had his wife’s support.

Vin remembered then a conversation he had had with Tom Hanks while shooting ‘Saving Private Ryan’. Hanks had said something like there was no point in having success if when you get back home there was nobody waiting for you to celebrate such success. And he was damn right. The celebrity had found an almost perfect balance between his career and his private life, making of his marriage an example of stability among the chaotic mess most marriage turned into in Hollywood.

Luna realized that Vin hadn’t said anything in return. She wasn’t sure what to think anymore. Luna had really been more than mad at him, in fact she had been pissed off beyond belief. Nevertheless, Vin had proven that there was goodness in him, and not only concerning less fortunate people.

Her husband had showed that he cared enough for her to send his dream to hell as long as she stayed at his side. That was worthwhile and he hadn’t been shitting. Would it be that bad if she loosened up a bit? At least to make it clear that she was willing to move on, turning the page as long as they reach a new deal concerning their marriage.

“We are still a team, aren’t we?” Luna’s eyes flickered to Vin’s.

She saw his jaw tightening as he swallowed hard. That guilty gaze was back, flashing at Luna and she tensed every single muscle in her body.

“Vin?” She breathed out, silently begging to every single power that she was wrong in her painful suspicion. Luna knew that she wouldn’t be able to live through that.

Vin didn’t want to hurt Luna but he didn’t want to keep anything from her either. In the past it hadn’t worked and had always ended up coming back to bite him right in his balls. Vin didn’t really want any more secrets. Besides, he didn’t trust Val the way he had before; things weren’t the way they used to be between the two friends. Vin and Val had grown apart over the last weeks, leaving their friendship weaker than ever before.

“Luna…I,” Vin cleared his throat, once more using all of his will to not avert his eyes. “Listen, baby…there’s something I have to tell you.” He squeezed her hands nervously and Luna panicked.

“Oh my God…” Luna gasped, horrified, and tried to release her hands from his. “You didn’t, did you?”

He hadn’t done it. Vin hadn’t cheated on her. No way. No fucking way. She had been gone for just two fucking days!

Vin let go of her hands but grabbed her waist, anticipating that Luna wanted to move farther apart.

“No!” He replied, shaking his head ‘no’ eagerly. “No, I didn’t, baby. I swear to you. I—I didn’t cheat on you.” Vin whispered, swallowing forcefully.

Luna narrowed her eyes and tensed even more, shaking her head ‘no’. She knew that Vin wasn’t telling everything; he was keeping something hidden. Luna could feel it, her guts were screaming at her.

“Luna, you have to believe me ‘cause I’m not shitting you. I…” His voice faltered and Vin cursed himself silently.

His voice and body language were pointing a stiff finger at him, yelling ‘LIAR’. It was true that he had almost been unfaithful to his wife, but the important thing was that he hadn’t done it. ‘Almost’ didn’t count, now did it?

Vin called himself every name in the book and held Luna tightly against him when she started struggling for dear life. It was also true that the fact that Val stormed into his trailer when he did had played in his favour. But still, and even though Vin was sure he would have ended up kissing Sheila, he wasn’t so sure that he would have gone much further.

“You lying bastard!” Luna muttered in a strangled voice and struggled harder to release herself from Vin’s arms that were now encircled around her torso, keeping her as close to him as physically possible. “Let me go, Vin!”

Vin knew that if she let her go, Luna wouldn’t let him explain himself. That would be the end, and that was that. Vin knew it without trace of doubt. If he cheated on Luna, she wouldn’t forgive him at all.

“Let me the fuck go!” Luna whispered through clenched teeth.

“Not until you calm down and let me explain everything to you.” Vin replied, keeping a firm hold of her body.

“I don’t want to fucking hear it!” Luna retorted, scratching her nails on his arms and shoulders, drawing blood. In response Vin hissed in pain but kept his steel grip around her body.

It wasn’t the first time that Luna had marked him. The only difference was that she had been screaming in pleasure. Vin never gave a damn, ever, and he was not going to start now.

“I’m not letting you go, Luna. So stop fighting me.” Vin pressed her even more firmly against him. Luna’s heart was now pounding within her chest with such force that even he could feel it. “Please, Luna, please calm down, baby.”

There was no point in keeping trying to release herself from his arms. Vin only would let her go if he wanted to, and he didn’t want to, Luna knew it.

She wasn’t a physical match for Vin and they both knew that too. She was only exhausting herself and Luna was sure that she would end up having a cardiac arrest if she kept struggling. That did it and, in one second, Luna went still, letting out a grunt in frustration.

They both were panting hard, breathing raggedly, flushed and sweating. At some point Vin had lost his towel, revealing his cock as hard as steel. The fighting only had excited him even more.

Luna glanced down and, too fast for Vin to react at all, she grabbed his balls, squeezing them, hard. “Tell me the truth.”

Vin’s hands shot down, cupping Luna’s and they locked eyes.

“Luna.” Vin warned her just to wince in pain when she applied pressure, tightening her grip.

“Tell me everything or I’ll hurt you, Vin.” Luna panted, waiting for the least hesitation in his voice or the slight trace of lies in his eyes to squeeze harder.

Vin gulped soundly. Something in Luna’s gaze told him she was not joking around. She would be able to smash his balls if he dared to lie to her. Vin made up his mind in one second flat. Fuck it.

“Sheila came to see me as soon as she knew you weren’t around anymore. I was pissed off because you threw my flowers in the garbage and let her enter our trailer. Fuck!” His voice pitched higher when Luna tightened her grip. “Luna…don’t do that, baby.”

“Keep talking if you know what’s best for you, Diesel.” Luna whispered, her gaze fixed on his eyes even thought Vin had shut them tightly. “Look at me, Vin. I want to see your eyes.”

Vin cringed inwardly and whimpered in pain. Luna was squeezing damn hard and it was starting to hurt for real. Vin bent forward, pressing his forehead against hers, cursing silently. He could already feel her nails digging into the sensitive skin.

Forcing the air through his lungs, Vin obliged, blinking his all of a sudden blurry vision. He didn’t feel like messing with Luna at all, especially since she had his jewels tightly gripped in her hands.

“She started talking about how people around us were always asking and demanding for support and respect but how they never gave us the same in return.” Vin paused for a second when he heard Luna grunting, and then continued quickly before she squeezed harder again. “I wanted to know where she was heading and then—then I offered her a drink. Next thing I knew she was sitting at my side and I wished she was you because I was missing you since the minute you left.” Vin swallowed hard and continued.

The sooner he was done with his confession, the sooner Luna would release him. At least that was what Vin hoped for with every fiber of his body.

“I was thinking about us and her words and before I realized it, she was all over me, waiting me to kiss her.” Vin let out another whimper, already expecting for Luna to smash his balls. His eyes begged for her mercy but Luna’s face wasn’t showing any. “I bent forward…I…I think I was going to kiss her—oh, fuck, Luna!” Vin yelped in pain. Luna had tightened her grip again.

Silent tears were running down Vin’s cheeks and he realized Luna was crying too. His words were hurting her as much as she was hurting him.

“Val stormed in the trailer and practically threw her out before she knew what was going on. I swear I didn’t kiss her. I swear to God, Luna. I didn’t even touch her. You have to believe me because I fucking swear I’m telling the fucking truth.”

Luna released him and Vin fell on his knees, cursing. She then cupped his face in her hands and, tilting his head up, Luna met Vin’s gaze. His teeth were clenched and he was breathing harshly through his nose but his eyes were wide open. A weird mix of relief, sadness and pain clearly visible. She knew he had told the whole truth.

“Listen to me and pay attention.” Luna whispered, looking down and holding his gaze. “If you don’t want me anymore you tell me now, Vin. I’ll pack my shit and we will be done. No more drama. I’ll sign whatever you want me to sign and I’ll be out of your life forever.” She paused and took a deep breath, never breaking eye contact. “But if you do want to save our marriage, I’ll be willing to do my best to make things work between us as long as you do promise me right here, right now, that you’re not cheating on me, ever.”

Luna wanted Vin to be completely sure that she was not fucking around. She didn’t want anything at all. She would leave without saying a word and would vanish forever, never bothering him again. And in case he wanted to give their marriage a try, she was ready for that too. The decision was his. He had to be the one saying what he wanted.

Vin didn’t give it a second thought. “I love you and I want to save our marriage, Luna.” He answered firmly, even though his balls hurt like a bitch and he almost couldn’t breathe normally. “I do promise you I won’t cheat on you, ever.” Vin added, putting as much reassurance as he could on his words, considering his current physical state, making sure that Luna had no doubts that he was not kidding.

Part II

Vin hissed, staring down at the spot where his cock met his balls. A few small bloody scratches were flashing at him. Fuck, fuck, fuck! He cursed, shaking his head. Luna had done a number on him. Still, his cock was hard as a rock. Surely the level of adrenaline pumping wildly, mixed with his bloodstream was helping.

“Here. This will help.” Luna handed Vin a small towel. He took it, noticing that it was freezing cold and looked at Luna warily. “It’s just ice, asshole.” She deadpanned.

Vin grinned and, with extreme care he placed it on his sensitive skin. “Oh, God…” he breathed out, feeling his burning balls cooling and collapsed onto the bed, closing his eyes. “You almost killed me.” He whispered, sighing hard.

Luna chuckled sadly. “Almost doesn’t count, right, baby?”

Vin’s eyes snapped open, feeling his chest tightening. The sarcasm mixed with the pain in Luna’s voice cut his breath away. His own words were coming back to bite his ass off, making him feeling guiltier than he had expected.

They locked eyes, intensely watching the play of emotions spread across their features; their hurtful gazes.

‘Almost’ did count.

It meant that something was wrong in their marriage. It meant that something was missing. It wasn’t the passion or the love, not even the sexual chemistry they knew they still shared. It was something else. The trust in each other maybe? Their bond perhaps?

Luna wasn’t sure anymore and Delora’s words came back to torment Luna’s peace of mind.

“…maybe it’s just that you’re asking for such things of the wrong man…”

Maybe Vin’s mom was right; maybe she was demanding from her husband feelings and emotions that simply weren’t in him; that simply weren’t part of him. Maybe Vin was not the man who Luna was destined to share her life with. Maybe, after all, they had never been meant to be together but they both were too blind or too stubborn to face such a reality.

Luna took a slow breath, forcing herself to calm down enough to analyze Vin’s words.

The fact that Vin had let Sheila enter their trailer had hurt Luna as much as his unwitting confession had done, even more than the fact he ‘almost’ had kissed her, mostly because Luna considered their trailer as an extension of ‘Black Star’, their own house, their home. The fact that that trailer was located within a shooting set was irrelevant.

No one was allowed to enter it unless Luna said so, not even Mike or Steve. That rule had been set before the shooting started and Vin had agreed without reservations. That damned trailer was Luna’s domain and Vin had let another woman in.

She didn’t care if he had been pissed off or hurt, or if she had been the one directly responsible for making him angry. Luna only cared that Vin had opened the door of their home to another women, and not just any other woman, but a little slut without scruples, morality or the slightest respect for herself or for any other person, who was determined to destroy their marriage, nonetheless.

As a direct consequence, for Luna anyway, Vin’s irresponsible action felt like a violation of her intimacy even if she wasn’t there at the time, or maybe precisely because she hadn’t been there.

Gritting her teeth, Luna cursed Vin silently and herself. She was not going back to Alabama but she couldn’t go walking around babysitting her husband either. Would she be able to trust Vin after what had happened?

Letting out a string of obscenities under her breath, Luna climbed into the bed, carelessly shoving Vin’s hands aside to have a better look at the damage she had caused.

She’d think about what to do concerning Sheila’s schemes later. Sheila was in for a huge surprise if the little slut thought she could mess with Luna and get away with it.

Right now, Luna had other matters to deal with, such as to make sure that she hadn’t sterilized her own husband, even though the idea sounded appealing, if only as a cruel payback for Vin’s stupidity.

However, once she was done working things out with Vin, Luna would go in search of Sheila. It was the time to teach the young actress a lesson.

After a closer inspection, Luna realized that it wasn’t that bad and let out the air she hadn’t realized that she had been holding in an unconsciously guilty sigh.

Apparently, Vin’s reproductive system was working fine, judging by the way his cock was still standing proudly, defiantly, shamelessly challenging the laws of gravity.

“Can’t fucking believe you’re still hard as a rock.” Luna whispered to herself, slightly amused. “You’re a kinky geek, Vin.” She shook her head as a tiny grin graced her lips.

Vin chuckled. “And you’re a fucking beautiful bitch.” He replied, grinning.

Luna laughed, meeting his hungry gaze.

“Compliments won’t get you anywhere.” She licked her lips mere inches from his cock, watching the erect member twitching. “You’re still not getting any.”

“I know,” Vin breathed out, “Though you might want to kiss it—just to make it better, you know.” He deadpanned and Luna knit a brow, fighting back a fit of crazy giggles.

Vin was showing his playful side for the first time in weeks. She loved it and hadn’t realized how much she had missed her husband’s goofiness until now. He wasn’t the least bit mad with her. He didn’t even try to shove her hands aside.

Luna knew that Vin could have grabbed her hair, pulling hard, mimicking Luna’s grip on his cock and he hadn’t done it. Not because he couldn’t but because he just simply didn’t want to do it. However, Luna refused to give in, at least not yet.

“You don’t deserve it.”

“Yeah, I know, but you can’t really blame me for trying.” Vin winked and Luna smiled widely.

He then took her hand in his and tugged gently. Luna offered resistance and Vin frowned.

“Come here.”

“No.”

Vin rolled his eyes. “Please, baby, come on…Come up here.” He tugged harder and Luna resisted a little. “I’m not getting any but you are.”

At his last words Luna went still. “We’re not done talking.” She whispered, meeting his gaze.

“Fine, then come up here and we’ll talk.” He reasoned with her. “Please, baby, just talking. I promise I’m not doing anything you don’t want me to do.”

She narrowed her eyes in suspicion when Vin’s chocolate eyes sparkled with a mischievous gaze. Luna hesitated for a second and then obliged.

Almost six weeks deprived of sex had been hell, she was now realizing. That was another thing that Luna had grown accustomed to damn fast. To have mind-blowing daily sex sessions. She wondered if that shit about being addicted to sex was true and not an urban legend. Maybe she was about to get her menstruation and that was the reason why her hormones seemed to be messing around with her sex drive.

“Just talking.” Luna pointed.

Vin nodded ‘yes’ eagerly. “Yep, just talking.” He echoed, even though a wicked expression was written all over his face.

Luna crawled and knelt at his side as Vin slid up, leaning backwards against the headboard, getting comfortable. Then he pulled her to him, and Luna rested her head on his shoulder, taking a seat at his side

“So, let’s talk.” Vin said as he causally placed one of his hands on her thigh. Luna glanced down, frowning slightly. “You sure you don’t want to change into something more comfortable?” His index finger slid up and down, absently stroking the rough fabric of her jeans.

“I’m comfortable enough, thanks.” Luna replied, following the slow pattern his finger was drawing. Up and down, almost unconsciously. Then she glanced at his cock, resting in the cradle his thigh and his groin offered, now semi erect as an after effect of the ice, but ready for action in seconds, Luna knew.

Vin was not only more than well endowed but his cock was also beautiful. It was damned hard to keep her mind focused on business. A cock shouldn’t be so beautiful at all.

“Maybe you should put some clothes on?” She shifted uncomfortably, feeling herself growing wetter in seconds.

“You think so?” Vin grinned goofily, knowing the effect that his nudity was having on her. “Nah, I’m fine wearing nothing.” He teased her. “Maybe you should be the one getting rid of some clothes,” he pulled lightly at the hem of Luna’s top, “you’re awfully well dressed to talk.” His sudden, husky tone of voice caused a shiver to run up her spine.

Her fluids had already reached her jeans and Luna cursed herself. She was about to lose this battle and she didn’t really give a damn anymore. Vin always got her with his silky deep voice; he didn’t even need to touch her at all. It was so unfair that Luna felt like yelling.

Vin was very aware of Luna’s weakness as well as the internal turmoil she was going through. His voice had always been intoxicating, working on Luna’s bodily reactions almost as if it was an aphrodisiac. But, once more, he didn’t want to take advantage. So going against any prediction, Vin slowed down, giving Luna a break. He silently prayed he was rewarded later.

“So, did you sign the contract with the publishing house?” Vin asked as he let go of Luna, rearranging the pillows behind him.

Luna blinked, puzzled. She wasn’t expecting Vin to give up so fast. Still, she silently thanked him for the fact that he seemed willing to give her a little peace of mind.

“Yeah, this morning.” She sighed and then snuggled closer to him once he was done with the pillows.

“Cool!” Vin replied, excited, even though he wasn’t sure what excited him the most. Luna signing her contract or Luna snuggling closer to him.

He liked the fact that the legal aspect of Luna’s deal with the publishing house had been tied up already. Now they could talk about it. But he liked even more the fact that Luna was relaxing again, letting him pull her closer.

“So, am I allowed to know the name of the publishing house now?” He sent a side glance to Luna’s direction, grinning. In response she grinned back.

In her paranoia, Luna had kept to herself any significance piece of information that she thought would lead Vin to interfere in her career again. She hadn’t liked it, though it was the only thing she could think of to stop Vin from trying to get his hands in her business once more.

“Escudero’s’.” She smiled widely, remembering what a wonderful lunch she had shared with Santiago Escudero. He was an extraordinary person and a gentleman. “Santiago Escudero is the owner, well, he and his brother Rafael.”

Vin’s grin faltered a little. Oh, fuck, he cursed silently. Vin didn’t dare say that he had met Rafael Escudero and his wife Lucia in Santo Domingo. They had all had a meeting with the President of the country and other Dominican authorities to set the steps to achieve their project. The one involving his dad and those future movie directors.

Should he tell Luna? Would she believe that he had nothing to do with her contract this time? What if Luna found about it later? Vin didn’t want more secrets; they had only gotten him in trouble in the past.

If he kept silent, Luna may interpret it as a violation of their agreement. If he told her, then she may start drawing her own conclusions, wrong conclusions.

Vin’s brain was a wreck. He didn’t know what to do anymore.

Luna glanced at Vin and found that he had broken into a cold sweat. Frowning, she straightened a little, meeting his troubled gaze.

“What’s wrong, Vin?” Her voice sounded concerned and Vin shut his eyes, sighing hard.

“I know Rafael Escudero.” He met Luna’s gaze. In response she gasped and kneeled completely. “No, no, no, don’t get any wrong ideas here, okay?” Vin quickly added, gently grabbing Luna’s arm. “I just met him once and it was when we were back in Santo Domingo and I’ve never seen him again or anything.”

Luna narrowed her eyes in suspicion but didn’t shove his hand aside, which Vin interpreted as a good sign and elaborated.

“I didn’t have anything to do with it this time, I swear. You can ask Rafael himself or his brother. Hell! I don’t even know that Santiago guy in person!” Vin added, holding Luna’s gaze. She hesitated, tensing visibly and Vin continued. “Luna, I’ve told you everything about Sheila. Why would I lie to you on this matter, baby? I’m not getting anything, apart from trouble with you. And that’s something I’m definitely done with.”

At this point within their relationship, Vin knew Luna would know if he was lying just by looking at his eyes, and he wasn’t lying.

“I’m being completely honest with you, baby. You asked me to stay out of your business and I gave you my word.”

“Your word?” Luna snorted and Vin rolled his eyes.

“Damn, okay, my word doesn’t mean shit to you right now, but I’m not shitting you, Luna. You demanded no more secrets between us and I’m telling it to you, right now, even though I knew you were going to doubt me.”

Luna’s mind went into overdrive. She thought about the people that knew about her book. There was no way that Allison or Thomas would have said something to Vin. They wouldn’t dare to betray her, of that she was completely sure. They were not only close collaborators but also friends. More than friends actually, they were family.

Irving? No, he was too decent and honest to do something behind her back. It was true that they had been talking about the contract with the publishing house and that Irving was even more involved with the Dominican project than Vin was. Didn’t it ring a bell when she mentioned Escudero’s name? Maybe Irving forgot to mention to her?

It could be just a happy coincidence, even though Luna didn’t believe in those. Thomas had said that her contract was suspiciously generous. It would make sense if someone else was pulling the strings from the shadows, so that Luna got preferential treatment. But who? If Vin wasn’t behind it, who was it this time?

Luna gritted her teeth. She didn’t like people messing with her career. She was obsessed with getting things for herself and not as a result of others’ schemes and manipulations. Luna hated it and she was going to find out who that person was, if there was somebody, that is.

Vin watched Luna going through several options, recalling his words and considering if she could trust him. Somehow, she knew Vin wasn’t lying and her relief showed plainly in her face, causing Vin to sigh hard. He had done the right thing in mentioning to her that he had met Rafael Escudero. At least, Luna couldn’t get mad at him for that.

“Vin,” Luna sighed. “You cannot blame me for doubting you.”

Vin smiled, pulling her to him. “I don’t blame you, baby, I know I deserve it. But this time I’ve done nothing.”

“I believe you.” She whispered, looking down, all of a sudden she felt ashamed.

“Hey.” Vin lifted her face, meeting her eyes. “It’s okay. We are okay now, aren’t we?” He whispered, nuzzling her cheek.

Luna closed her eyes, inhaling deeply. “Yeah, we are okay.” She breathed out, opening her eyes.

“We are a team, remember?” Vin grinned and grabbed Luna by her waist, placing her on his lap. She straddled his hips and, encircling his neck, she rested her face on his shoulder.

“That we are.” She breathed in Vin’s scent and smiled. “Love the way you smell.”

Vin grinned. “I taste better.” He teased her wickedly, causing Luna to laugh quietly.

“You’re still not getting any.”

“Fuck…” Vin whistled.

“Not tonight, Mr. Vincent.” Luna replied, giggling. Vin grinned widely. He had missed that sound, a lot.

“Damn! And here I thought I was going to melt you.” Vin pulled Luna to him tightly and held her against him. He just wanted to feel her close to him; he had missed much more than just her laughter, Vin was now realizing.

“With flowers and expensive gifts?” Luna replied, grinning. “You need to think better, sir.”

Vin frowned and then grinned mischievously. “You’ve been snooping in my bags?”

“Yup.” Luna replied shamelessly and lifted her head to meet his eyes. “I saw the black velvet box.”

Vin knit a brow. “Did you?” He was positive that she had no clue what was inside. Luna nodded, smiling widely.

“What did you get for me?” She asked curiously.

The fact that Luna didn’t give a damn about expensive presents didn’t mean that she was not curious. Luna could live without them. She just wanted Vin, not his money or the things that money could buy. Still, she had to admit that sweet things never made anyone bitter, even though most of the clothes and shoes that Vin had forced Luna to buy she had sold on e-bay, sending the money to different charity organizations. Or she simply had given them to the cleaning lady crew that came three times over a week to clean ‘Black Star’.

Vin licked his bottom lip, unable to let the chance to tease her a little pass up. “Who says it’s for you?” He asked evenly.

In response, Luna blinked, shocked to her core. What the fuck? Vin was right. She hadn’t had time to check what it was or who it was for.

“Did you buy something for your mom?” Luna asked, unable to hide that she had been caught off guard. Luna had taken for granted that whatever he had gotten had been for her.

“Maybe.” Vin answered smugly. Luna’s face was priceless. He loved to tease her, maybe too much actually. “What did you buy?” He added, gesturing to the small bag with the lingerie logo.

Luna followed his line of vision and fought back a crazy grin. Two could play that game.

“Lace babydoll, matching g-string,” Luna met his gaze, “open bustier and crotchless.”

Vin swallowed, his cock stirring to life. “Turquoise?” His voice came out as a husky whisper.

Slowly, Luna shook her head from side to side. “Black and red…” She purred.

Vin groaned and then narrowed his eyes. The wicked sparkle in Luna’s eyes told Vin that she was fucking with him. There was no way that she had bought such a lingerie set; it wasn’t her taste or his. Unless they were role-playing.

“You little liar.” Vin playfully slapped Luna’s bottom. She yelped and broke into a fit of hysterical giggles when Vin rolled them both, trapping Luna’s body underneath him. “Tell me what you got.” He demanded, getting comfortable between her legs and pressing down so Luna felt him.

“Make me.” Luna laughed quietly, sensuously rubbing her sex against his and completely forgetting where they were.

Part III

“I will always love you, Luna.” Vin’s warm lips pressed against the delicate skin, just behind her earlobe. Luna shivered, her eyes fluttering closed. “I will always be in love with you, Luna.” His voice came from some deep place within his core.

Luna moaned as his lips brushed down along her neck, stopping briefly to nuzzle her, growling, eliciting goose bumps, down over her shoulder and back up to meet her lips.

They had been playing around and Vin had made Luna confess what she had bought by tickling her. After confessing, Luna had jumped out of the bed, leaving a sulking Vin behind. She had said that she was taking a quick shower and had walked away swinging her hips with the small lingerie bag in her hand.

Vin almost had a cardiac arrest when several minutes later Luna had emerged from the bathroom wearing a gown that revealed every curve, embracing her body in every single right place. Her tanned skin could be seen through the silky fabric and took his breath away. Not turquoise or black or red, but golden.

Vin had been right though. Luna had waxed, all over, leaving just a small patch of pubic hair, placing a tiny golden lace triangle right in the middle. His excitement had only grown stronger, almost fierce, upon discovering that the small silky lace was edible. He hadn’t wasted time to find if Luna was joking. She wasn’t. The mix of Luna’s juices and vanilla on his tongue were the evidence.

His mouth reclaimed hers in fierce possession, silently begging for forgiveness. A forgiveness that Luna was more than willing to concede after Vin brought her to three mind-blowing orgasms with his fingers and mouth.

Vin released Luna’s lips and pressed his full mouth against her ear. “You belong with me…you’re home…my home…”

Home.

Luna choked a sob back, holding him tightly against her as she shut her eyes.

She hadn’t questioned Vin’s words before and the casual speech caused Luna to feel uneasy. She needed her husband to say those words but at the same time, Luna couldn’t help but wonder if he really meant them.

It occurred to her that she had already lost count of how many times Vin had said he loved her, that he was in love with her. Still, his actions had not always matched his words and a sudden realization scared her to unthinkable levels.

What if Vin said them constantly so as to not forget them himself? As a reminder of what he felt for her?

It had taken just two days apart from her for Vin to allow another woman close to him. Another woman who wasn’t herself. What if he wasn’t so sure about them together anymore? What if their once unbreakable bond wasn’t as strong as before?

It scared Luna to the core the unbearable need Vin had branded her with. To a point where Luna doubted that she would be able to live without him. As if she was incomplete without a man, this man, this husband at her side; in her life, in her bed. A bed that had felt so cold, so damned empty without Vin.

Opening her eyes, Luna found Vin staring down at her and she saw her own emotions reflected in his gaze; her own fears and doubts sparkling in his eyes. Concern and sadness.

“I know what you’re thinking.” Vin broke the silence. “And I know you’re scared but I’m not going anywhere, Luna. I’m not leaving you.” His voice sounded hoarse and shaken.

Luna smiled sadly. “That’s not what scares me the most.” She whispered, caressing his cheek. “Our marriage is going south, Vin, and I don’t know what to do anymore.”

At her words, Vin felt his chest tightening, as if an invisible fist squeezed his heart. The passion was still burning and the sex was incredibly great, fucking amazing more like it. Nevertheless Luna was right, Vin had to concede.

Things weren’t the way they used to be. They needed to solve their problems before it was too late. Sex was essential within a couple but it wasn’t the only thing. A marriage based on an undeniable sexual chemistry was condemned to fail sooner rather than later.

“I really want to work things out between us, baby. I want to save our marriage.” Vin swallowed hard, his eyes flickering to hers. “I know we can do it, Luna. We’ve gone through much worse.”

“I know that, it’s just…” Luna took a shaky breath, silent tears rolling down her temples.

She hated to feel this vulnerable. It wasn’t like her. All the stress and drama and crap were really doing a number on her hormones. If she’d have known better Luna would have thought she was acting as if she was pregnant.

Pregnant. A small choke of nervous laughter escaped her and Luna tensed.

“What?” Vin frowned in concern.

He had noticed that she had gone from moaning in pleasure to crying silently right down to laughing nervously, tensing every single muscle in her body, all in a few minutes. Not that strange a behavior concerning Luna. The broad range of contradictory emotions and reactions were nothing new while making love to her. However Vin had to admit that it was never that fast, not even when she was about to get her period.

“Luna, what’s going on, baby?” Vin moved to one side, pushing up on one elbow. The need and passion pushed aside for the moment, replaced with real concern.

Luna never cried this much. She was the type of woman who yelled and screamed and threw things around. Not crying silently. She had to be hurt really bad to not being able to act like herself.

“Please, baby. Don’t leave me out, don’t push me away.” Vin was begging and he didn’t care. Luna’s tears got him every time, breaking him apart. She never used them as a weapon to get what she wanted.

Luna hesitated for a moment, not being sure of what to answer. She didn’t have a clue if she was pregnant or not. To be honest, the possibility hadn’t even crossed her mind. Until now.

Many women said they had known from minute one and even several of them were able to say the exact moment they had gotten pregnant. Luna just didn’t know. If she had to think about the last time she had made love with Vin, it had been when they had been installed in their luxurious trailer.

And how the hell did she get pregnant in first place? She had been using those damn injections. Weren’t they supposed to be 99% effective? Of course there was that 1% left.

After a few minutes that felt like an eternity, Luna opted for voicing part of her thoughts aloud; the ones that didn’t scare her to death.

“All this drama we’ve been living over the last weeks is affecting my health.” Luna frowned, a little lost in thought.

Vin held his breath, thinking about Luna’s heart and the fact that her heartbeats slowed and sped in seconds without a plausible explanation. At least not one he could think of.

“How?” Vin narrowed his eyes in suspicion. “How is it affecting you exactly, baby?”

He knew about her chronic migraines and her insomnia. He also knew about her lack of appetite, not only regarding sex. But Vin was sure that she was not purging herself or skipping meals. Mike and Steve had been given the order to inform Vin if something, anything led them to think that Luna was back her old ways. He hadn’t forgotten what Dr. Jacobs had said, that bulimia would be her Achilles’ heel.

Luna averted her eyes briefly and kept silent. She didn’t feel brave enough to tell Vin about that odd suspicion growing fast within her core. What if she was pregnant? What if she wasn’t? She couldn’t say it aloud. Not yet.

To have a kid wasn’t one of their short-term plans. It would be an accident. Something they hadn’t looked for. Of course it would be great and Luna was sure that Vin would love it, especially after the painful event they both had learnt to live with.

Still, a pregnancy, right now, considering the troubles they were going through in their marriage could be seen as a blessing, solving everything and bonding them stronger than before, or a curse, tearing them both apart.

Not a curse, never a curse. Luna whimpered and broke into tears, sobbing. Her mother used to say that Luna was a curse more than a blessing and she had even dropped pearls such as she should have closed her legs before giving birth Luna.

Vin cursed himself when Luna refused to give him an answer. He was going to have to work his ass off damn hard after his latest fuckup.

“I’m going back to LA with you and we’re going to have you checked out as soon as we land.” He gently whispered, cleaning her tears with his thumb.

Luna blinked. “You’re coming with me to LA?!” She gasped. Vin nodded. “What about the shooting?” she whispered breathlessly between sobs.

“Fuck the shooting!” Vin replied without hesitation. “I’ll call Niko. There are several scenes that can be shot without me being there.” Luna’s eyes widened completely. Was he kidding?

“But…”

Vin cut her off. “No ‘buts’. Your health always comes first. You always come first, Luna.” The lack of hesitation and the powerful determination in Vin’s voice caused Luna to fight back fresh tears. “I’m not making the same mistake twice, baby. I’m not placing anyone or anything ahead of my wife again.”

Luna choked back a whimper and hugged Vin tightly against him. “Who are you and what you’ve done with Vin self-centered-asshole Diesel?” She breathed, holding him so tightly that he almost couldn’t breath.

Vin chuckled, suspecting Luna wasn’t expecting an answer. Good, because he felt different but couldn’t explain why himself. Not to mention that he didn’t know what to say. So he said nothing. Instead, Vin held her and let her cry, whispering soothing words for all he was worth and caressing her back.

It was silently killing him but Vin knew he deserved it. He had betrayed her trust in him and now he had to start all over again.

“Make love to me, Vin.” Luna tilted her head back to meet Vin’s eyes.

He smiled, widely. Now that was something he was more than willing to oblige.

Luna felt warm fingers trailing down over her, down between the valley of her breasts and over her hips to ease down between her thighs and she bit her lip.

Gently Vin tugged her legs apart and knelt between them, lazily stroking her thighs. Luna’s breath caught in her throat just to gasp aloud when Vin’s hands drew her body to the edge of the bed and guided her legs over his shoulders.

Luna pushed herself up on her elbows as she felt his hot breath stirring her sopping wet lips. Then Vin blew cool air and Luna shuddered, locking eyes with him.

“Vin…” She moaned as his tongue darted out, lapping at her aching folds. “Fuck!”

“Not yet, baby.” His warm mouth closed over her clit and Vin growled, sending the vibrations up her spine.

Her whole body arched as Luna collapsed back down. Her fingers digging into the mattress above her head as his mouth moved over her labia, tasting her, nibbling her, driving her into a frenzy of need.

—————-

Delora and Irving crossed glances in silent dialogue as soon as they entered their house, freezing in place. Moans and grunts could be heard coming from upstairs. There was no mistaking the sound.

They frowned, looking at Steve and Mike as Vin’s bodyguards shrugged their shoulders. They were used to hearing Vin and Luna making love. Even though their bedroom in ‘Black Star’ had been double insolated, still they always made a lot of noise. All in all, it was a lot better than hearing them fighting.

Slowly a wicked grin graced Irving’s lips, hearing Luna crying for Vin to suck her harder causing Delora to clasp a hand against her mouth, fighting back a fit of crazy giggles.

“If Mark is anything like you, at least Luna is having first class sex.” Delora whispered mischievously, only for her husbands’ ear to hear, blushing a little. She couldn’t believe those words escaped her mouth.

With a speed that shocked Delora, Irving grabbed her hand and practically dragged his wife upstairs with him, causing Mike and Steve to grin madly.

Delora laughed quietly, shaking her head. At his age, it was not everyday that Irving felt this willing. He was not a Viagra man; Irving had always liked natural aphrodisiacs.

Sex was not that essential in their lives anymore. Love, trust, companionship, friendship and the fact that they both felt accomplices to each other was enough to keep the flame of their passion and unconditional devotion burning like the very first day.

Their once frenzied coupling had given away to sweet lovemaking a few years ago. Strength and resistance had been replaced with technique and experience. Quantity gave way to quality.

Irving stopped dead in his tracks when he reached the guests’ room and leaned forward, pressing his ear.

“Irving!” Delora hissed, grinning as she playfully slapped his arm. “You can’t do that.” She whispered, fighting back her laughter.

“Shhhh, keep your voice down, woman,” Irving grinned and pulled Delora closer, so they could both hear Vin and Luna. She hesitated for a second and, rolling her eyes, she gave in.

“Just for a moment.” Delora whispered, grinning.

She felt all of a sudden as if Irving and herself were again kids and they were overhearing their parents making love.

————–

Vin’s palms clamped her thighs to his shoulders as Luna writhed and shuddered against his wicked mouth. Lightning racing up her spine as he sucked on her swollen, pulsing nub, and her breath came in small pants.

Her face rolled from side to side as ragged moans tore from her chest, her bottom squirming and writhing at the feel of his wicked lips and greedy tongue in her most sensitive flesh.

Luna felt the tension build to the point of pain as his tongue pushed up inside of her as far as physically possible, curling up. Her heart pounded madly as Luna arched up her hips, crying out in pure bliss of pleasure.

Vin eased her trembling thighs from his shoulders, holding them wide open and stared down. Her lips were glistening, juices flooding down freely. They were making a mess on his mom’s sheets but Vin didn’t give a damn.

Tears filled Luna’s eyes as his fingers slipped from her pussy to gently spread her pink lips apart. Her whole back arched as his mouth settled over her nub, gently sucking on the throbbing heart of her.

Just as she felt the tension build to breaking point for fifth time that night between her thighs, his mouth released her.

“Oh, fuck!” She choked.

“In a second, baby.” He groaned against her flesh, and she felt the bed shifting.

Hands smoothed the sides of her body in long, sure strokes before gripping her hips as he pressed the broad tip of him against her pussy lips.

“Slow and gentle?” Vin enquired huskily as he surged against her, pushing the tight walls of her pussy apart as he began to sheath himself inside of her.

She moaned and squirmed on the thick hard length of him slowly filling her, her head thrown back, her back arching.

“Hard and fast…” Luna whispered breathlessly.

Vin groaned as she squeezed and rippled around him, her exquisite tightness almost sending him over the edge.

Vin gently plucked and rolled the hard nipples in his fingers as she cried out. Her body shuddered and she came on him, unexpectedly. Vin couldn’t believe how exquisite she felt, sheathing his cock within her core.

Slowly, with long smooth thrusts, he began to stroke his hard cock in her spasming pussy as his hands reached hers, interlacing their fingers.

The urgency of his thrusts began to increase, and Vin felt Luna quivering, writhing and bucking on his hard shaft as he drove himself in and out her tight pussy.

“Please, fuck me harder, baby…don’t hold back…” Luna begged, her body on fire with her renewed need; her pussy glorying in the feel of him sliding up inside of her, stretching her around his huge thickness. “Harder!!”

Vin growled and obliged, all control lost.

Tingles sparked between her thighs as she felt the burning, coiling heat low in her belly wind tighter and tighter until she thought she might snap.

“Oh, God, Luna…fuck, baby…”

Vin took her fiercely, his muscular warmth covering her as his fingers caressed between her thighs as he drove into her over and over, stroking deep inside of her welcoming pussy and out briefly just to stroke in again as deeply as he could.

The bed squeaked in protest as the headboard hit the wall in the rhythm of Vin’s moves. Irving giggled like a little kid and felt her wife’s fingers gripping his shoulder, unconsciously matching the frenzied beat Vin and Luna were enjoying.

Vin’s dad felt his groin stirring and grinned wickedly. Tonight would be one of those memorable moments in which Delora and he would enjoy each other. Silently he gave thanks for their timing, arriving at home when Vin and Luna were making love.

Luna felt Vin’s driving thrusts, the entire length of his cock stroking her inner muscles as hot warmth flooded her pussy. Vin shuddered and jerked inside of her, his grunts filling her ears.

Luna cried out, squeezing him hard as her body exploded around him with an intensity that scared them both, making them scream at once, reaching their climaxes.

Vin collapsed on the bed, rolling slightly and stretched out beside her as Luna drew deep gulping breaths into her heaving lungs.

Then he cradled her body against his. His chest pressing against the curve of her back, his shaft nestled against her bottom, his hand smoothing up and down her arms and belly as his chin rested on the top of her shoulder.

Not enough energy or strength left to say a word. Too exhausted to even form a coherent thought.

“Kids? You okay?”

Irving called from the other side of the door. The humour in his voice causing Vin and Luna to gasp at once. They had completely forgotten where they were.

Vin cringed inwardly as a sudden déjà vu sensation grabbed a hold of him.

One Saturday evening his parents had arrived home sooner than expected while he was fucking the shit out of Cindy Parker clearly popping within his brain.

Back then, Vin was seventeen years old and he was supposed to be doing homework with sweet Cindy. He was, just not the ones he was supposed to be doing. She had been assigned to help him with math by their teacher but Vin had worked his charm on sweet Cindy to convince her that there were much more interesting subjects to study, such as biology and the anatomy of the human body.

Luna stiffened slightly, struggling away from the burning warmth of Vin’s body pressing against hers from behind. His fingers slid down over her hips, pressing possessively against the gentle swell of her belly and holding her firmly against him.

“Your dad…” She gasped, mortified at being caught, realizing that she had been yelling at the top of her lungs for Vin to fuck her harder.

“Yeah, we’re okay.” Vin managed to say as he burst out laughing hard causing Luna to giggle madly, slapping his arm playfully.

“You sure?” Irving teased them, unable to stop himself even though Delora was pulling hard, trying to make her husband move from the door. The fact that she was laughing silently wasn’t helping. She didn’t have enough strength left to pull harder.

“Irving Vincent, stop it!” Delora scolded him, still grinning, causing Irving to giggle like a little naughty kid.

“Oh, my God!” Luna’s eyes widened just to shut tightly one second later. “Ma is there too!” She mouthed, embarrassed to her very toes and, blushing furiously, Luna turned around, burying her burning cheeks in Vin’s neck.

He chuckled, shaking his head. “Yeah, we are sure, dad.”

No answer came back from the other side of the door with the exception of a playful slap and a fit of giggles, followed by hurrying steps and a door closing and locking.

Vin frowned. “You think they are going to…” he trailed off, chuckling. In response, Luna giggled. “Bet my dad has a hard on.” Vin joked, laughing.

“Vin!” Luna gasped, shaking her head. “That’s gross.” She giggled, slapping his arm playfully.

“Why? My dad is a man after all and my mom is beautiful.” Vin replied, still grinning.

“How am I going to look at their faces tomorrow morning, eh?” Luna whined. “Oh, my god! What am I going to tell them?” She just couldn’t bring herself to face Delora and Irving after how she had been screaming with her climax.

“Dunno. Good morning?” Vin teased her and Luna rolled her eyes shoving Vin aside. “Hey! Where you think you going, woman?” He sat, grabbing Luna’s arm before she could get out of the bed. “We’re not nearly done, baby.”

Luna blinked. “What?” She gasped. “Vin, we’re not doing anything else. Your parents are at the end of the hallway!”

Vin rolled his eyes. “So what? They will be too busy to pay attention to us and it’s not like they are going to be playing cards, Luna.” He reasoned with her, pulling gently until she was sitting at his side again. “Besides, I still gotta give you your present.” Vin winked and reached back.

Searching blindly inside his bags, Vin found the small black box and pulled it out, giving it to Luna. “Here. I really hope you like it, baby.”

Luna frowned and then chewed her lips. It weighed a little more than she had noticed before. Slowly she removed the lace and opened it.

“Oh my God!!” Her eyes widened completely and she clasped a hand against her mouth.

Vin grinned and tilted his head to one side. “Thought since you are supposed to make a tour introducing your ‘Secret Desires’…you might need it to sign the copies of your book to your fans.”

Luna blinked silent tears, staring down at the pen. It was black and silver with a small diamond trapped within the top. She recognized the brand; it was Spanish and one of the best around the world.

Luna lifted her face and met Vin’s eyes. She was at a loss for words. Luna didn’t know what to say. It was an expensive gift but the meaning behind it was what got her.

“Vin…I don’t know what to say…” She whispered almost breathlessly. “Thank you, baby…I love it!” Luna smiled blinking more tears.

Vin smiled widely in spite of watching the tears rolling down her cheeks and slowly, he lifted a hand and brushed them away.

“I remembered that you told me it was your favourite and I bought it all alone. No one helped me this time.” He whispered, still smiling.

Luna laughed and held Vin tightly. “I love you.” She whispered, closing her eyes.

“Not as much as I love you, Luna.” Vin replied and captured her lips in a soul shattering kiss.
