One week later. Spain. Luna.

M got out of the Rolls Royce so damned fast that her driver didn’t have time to open the door for her. Then she took a deep breath and walking with firm steps, she headed towards the building where Luna’s firm offices were located.

As she walked, faster than anyone would think possible, M’s long, red, curly hair was floating. She was petite, but radiated energy all over.

Dressed in tight jeans and a tank top, M entered the building, heading directly to the elevators.

She pushed the French door with such force that the receptionist snapped her head up, raising her brows in amusement.

“Good morning, Ana.” M said politely as she crossed in front of the girl and continued walking until she reached Susana’s desk. “Is she here?” M asked Luna’s personal assistant, narrowing her dark brown eyes.

In response, Susana sighed, relieved to see M. She honestly didn’t know what to do anymore.

“It’s been a whole week, M.” Susana said sighing hard, frowning deeply. “Her car is at her house and she left a message, telling us that she was exhausted and to not freak out if she didn’t answer the phone for a couple of days.” Susana explained as she got to her feet. “Her phones are disconnected. I’m really worried, M and I don’t know what to do.” Susana added, concern written all over her face. “You know Luna doesn’t have a good relationship with her family and that she doesn’t want them involved in her life at all.”

M narrowed her eyes in suspicion, said thank you to Susana and headed toward the street. When she passed the receptionist, M said goodbye and continued walking.

Her driver was already waiting for her with the door of the car opened. M nodded slightly and got in the Rolls, closing the door. The driver got in as well and started the car, waiting for her instructions.

M got comfortable inside the Rolls and, closing her eyes, she conjured a vision of Luna.

Luna was inside of what seemed to be a ruined house. M frowned deeply and opened her eyes.

“Manuel, please. Drive me to her place.” M said gently. Then she closed her eyes again, taking a deep breath.

Manuel glanced at her in the rear mirror and lifted the panel that separated the front of the car to the back, giving M privacy.

He drove along the main avenue and left the centre of the city in the direction of the coast. One hour later, the Rolls Royce was driving along the streets of the residential area where Luna had her house.

Manuel stopped the car in front of a big house painted a cream colour as M opened her eyes, blinking furiously. Manuel climbed out the car and circling it, he opened the door for M. She got out of the car and pushing open the iron gates, M padded directly to the main door.

She pressed the bell, stretching her spine and waited patiently. No sound or sign of Luna was heard at all. After a few minutes, M took a deep breath, closed her eyes and concentrated one more time.

——————-

Luna was walking around a big house, looking at the walls. There was hardly any furniture and it seemed that the house was going to fall apart at any time. There weren’t windows or doors and everything around her was almost in complete darkness.

Luna could hear a voice calling her, but she couldn’t place to whom the voice belonged or from where it was coming.

She could feel her feet as if they weighed ten times more than usual. She felt cold and scared, but for some strange reason, she was sure that someone was watching her, as if someone else was aware that she was trapped inside that place.

Luna heard the voice calling her name again, sounding as if it was coming from the far end of one the hallways. She wanted to keep going, but all of sudden she felt exhausted. She tried to take a deep breath but it seemed as if her lungs didn’t remember how to do that simple action.

Slowly, Luna leaned against the wall and slid down to the floor. The voice sounded louder, calling her, but Luna felt too tired to go on walking. So she closed her eyes and concentrated just on breathing.

Suddenly, Luna felt a gentle hand touching her shoulder and snapped her head up, opening her eyes wide.

M?

——————

Luna blinked her sleep away as she stretched on her bed, letting out a hiss in pain as soon as an indescribable pain stabbed her chest. Luna rubbed her skin, clenching her teeth in a lame attempt to block it. She shivered and realized that she was trembling slightly.

Luna rested a hand on her forehead and found it burning with fever. Then she realized that the doorbell was ringing.

M. Luna sighed hard and slowly, she climbed out of bed, ignoring her aching muscles.

Luna headed towards the door and opened it. In two seconds, M pushed past her so hard that she almost made Luna lose her balance.

Luna frowned deeply as she closed the door. “Good morning, Luna. How are you, kid?” Luna said, mockingly as she went directly to the salon.

M laughed softly as she took a seat in front of her. “What’s going on, kid?” M asked as she got comfortable in an armchair.

Staring at Luna, M looked at every detail on Luna’s body. Her clothes, her face, her hair.

“This won’t help you, Luna.” She added, narrowing her eyes.

Luna raised her legs and pulled them to her chest. “I’m tired. Too many hours on a plane, you know?” Luna said softly as she encircled her legs with her arms. “I have just arrived twenty four hours ago. It’s not like they wouldn’t be able to live without me for one more day.” She added and took a deep breath.

M narrowed her eyes in suspicion as she tilted her head to one side, grinning slightly. Luna rolled her eyes, sighing hard. She knew full well that when M was looking at her in that way she was thinking that Luna was doing something stupid to herself.

“For fuck’s sake, M! I’m the fucking owner, right?” Luna exclaimed fuming. In response, M nodded ‘yes’. “Great.” She muttered as she sighed hard. “Do you want coffee?” Luna asked but she didn’t move a muscle.

M ignored her question. “Have you seen yourself in a mirror?” M asked suddenly, her voice gentle. Luna frowned, puzzled. “What are you doing to yourself, Luna?” She added staring at Luna’s clothes.

Luna rolled her eyes. “Nothing. I’ve been sleeping almost all fucking day.” She muttered through clenched teeth.

Luna was starting to be mad at M and she didn’t even know why.

“I think I’ve been dreaming for the last five years.” Luna said, frowning slightly. “I’ve even started to have those weird dreams again.” She added absently, like she was lost in thought for a second just to chuckle at her own words a moment later.

M sighed hard. “Forget about the dreams, Gemini.” She retorted and stood.

She grabbed Luna’s wrists and pulled her to her feet. Then, M headed toward the bathroom with Luna’s wrist still in her grip. Luna rolled her eyes and shook her head.

When they reached the main bathroom, M left Luna in front of the big mirror that covered half of the wall and moved to one side.

“Tell me something. What do you see?” M asked as she took a seat on the floor, pressing her back against the wall.

In response, Luna frowned, puzzled, and then she rolled her eyes, looking at herself in the mirror, not really paying attention.

“Me?” She mocked, chuckling.

M laughed coldly, shaking her head. “Tell me what you see, Luna.” M repeated, feeling her temper rising fast. When Luna rolled her eyes and tried to move M shouted. “TELL ME!”

At the sound of her voice, Luna jumped slightly and fixed her gaze on her reflection. Her eyes opened wide and she moved backward, gasping.

The woman in front of her was a complete stranger. Her hair was a mess, dirty and sticky. Her green eyes had dark shadows under them and they were red. Her cheekbones were slightly more visible. It seemed as if her clothes were one size bigger.

Luna’s gaze slid down to her chest and it was then when she saw, horrified, her turquoise blouse stained with what seemed to be dry blood. A strong shiver ran up Luna’s spine and she started to shudder, feeling her heart racing inside her chest.

M took a deep breath and waited in complete silence for Luna’s reaction.

Luna shut her eyes tightly as she let out a scream, collapsing on the floor, tears spilling down her cheeks. She lifted a hand, covering her mouth and started to cry soundly.

At that exact moment, Luna understood what she had done and wanted to die. Staring at her reflection, Luna started to rock back and forth, screaming in pain.

M took a deep breath and closed her eyes, feeling how Luna was falling apart, her heart completely broken.

One week later. Los Angeles. Vin.

They boarded the plane when all the passengers were already inside. Vin Diesel fastened his seat belt as he got comfortable in his first class seat. Then he pulled a small red pouch out of his pocket and closed it inside his fist, tightening his grip around it, closing his eyes.

Valentino stared at him through narrowed eyes and cursed himself silently. For the first time in years, he felt powerless and frustrated because he didn’t know what to do to make Vin feel better.

Val had teased him, telling him that he wouldn’t be able to get a woman like ‘the stripper’, challenging him during almost the whole week after they were back from London. Then out of nowhere she was in front of them at the entrance of that new club.

Back then as soon as Valentino had laid eyes on her, he elbowed Vin and bet him, saying he wouldn’t be able to take her come to his place for a “private party”. Vin had laughed hard and they had made the bet.

Now after all the events that had taken place, Valentino wished with all his heart that he’d kept his big mouth shut. Val couldn’t help but felt like shit and responsible for his best friend’s misery.

Vin hadn’t said a word about Luna since she left him. Valentino had hardly seen him over that past week. Vin had been locked in his house with only the company of Roman, drinking until falling unconscious.

Valentino wished with all his heart that when Vin started shooting this movie, everything would be better or at least, Vin would be able to think about other things apart from Luna.

After a moment, Val fastened his seat belt and got comfortable as well, squeezing Vin’s arm softly, showing him that he was there for him anytime.

Slowly, Vin opened his eyes and looked at Val, nodding in understanding. Then Vin closed his eyes again and sighed hard.

They always had been such close friends that most of the time words weren’t necessary between them to understand each other.

The plane took off a few minutes later, flying directly to Canada where Vin Diesel was going to shoot his next movie, ‘The Chronicles of Riddick’.
