Wednesday

Berlin (Germany) Luna.

M had planed a small fast tour around Europe to visit the different properties she had inherited from her husband, but that wasn’t her only motivation. She also wanted to have time alone, far from Spain, with Luna.

They had been in the Alps checking a castle in the mountains. After that, they had returned to Geneva where M had signed all of the official documents with her lawyers to sell it without her being present at the moment of the transaction. Afterward, both had flown to Berlin where M’s husband had bought a luxury penthouse located in the best part of the city, following the advice of his mother.

They had landed early in the morning and they had gone directly in search of M’s real estate agent. After that, the three of them had decided on a few changes in the interior design that M wanted to be done before she would sell the penthouse.

Until that moment, Luna and M had spent all their time together surrounded by lawyers, agents, bankers, investors and notaries. They almost hadn’t had time for themselves. So they made up their minds and went to have a lunch, and to spend an indecent amount of money shopping in the most luxurious shops they found on their way.

At the end of the day, both of them were exhausted. The following morning they were going to fly to Nice where M had a house at the beach.

Their plan was that as soon as they arrived in Nice they would be relaxing and meeting M’s old friends.

So, with that in mind, they headed back to the hotel. Luna didn’t know it but she was going to sleep in the same bed that Vin Diesel had the night before while presenting his movie in Berlin.

———-

Luna was walking along an endless hallway. She was trembling, scared and alone. She was hearing voices calling her. Luna stopped in her tracks and leaned against the wall, then slid down and brought her legs to her chest, encircling them with her arms. She felt exhausted, so Luna closed her eyes and rested her head on her knees.

Suddenly a name spread in her mind, blocking any other thought.

Mark…

Luna felt how a warm breeze wrapped her trembling body and snapped her head up, blinking. She slowly got to her feet and saw a light at the end of the hallway.

Luna started to chew her lower lip and after a moment of hesitation, she started to walk, following the direction of the bright light.

Where are you going, Luna? Her own voice asked suddenly, causing Luna to stop dead in her tracks.

She couldn’t help but felt that the more she walked in the direction the small light was sparkling, the less scared she was. So Luna swallowed hard and continued walking.

What are you doing? Her own voice asked faintly.

Luna hesitated. She felt her heart racing and her stomach clench with that familiar sensation. Luna closed her eyes for a few seconds and took a deep breath. When she opened her eyes again, the light was gone. She shut her eyes tightly, sighing hard.

Luna opened her eyes slowly, blinking, and then looked around herself, sighing hard. She was in her suite in the hotel in Berlin.

Luna climbed off the bed and headed directly to the salon; she sat in one armchair which was in front of the big terrace, closed her eyes and cried silently.

M opened her eyes, frowning, then glanced at her chrono; it was 03:30 am, local time in Berlin. She climbed off her bed and went to the salon she shared with Luna’s suite.

M went still, watching Luna.

Luna had moved one of the armchairs and she was sitting there crying silently. The only light around her was produced by a big full moon.

M stood there, staring at Luna for a long moment while Luna was lost in thought about the man she loved, oblivious to M’s presence.

M shook her head slightly and headed to her. Luna then blinked and looked down at her empty ring finger.

“I’m not going to find him, am I?” Luna asked almost in a whisper, as she was speaking to herself more than to M.

M smiled slightly as she sat next to her in another armchair.

“Do you really want to?” M asked gently, staring at Luna’s ring finger.

In response, fresh tears rolled down Luna’s cheeks as she looked up, nodding ‘yes’. M smiled sadly.

“Listen to me, Gemini. I know you’re lost in a dark cold place, but only you can find the way out. I can’t help you on this occasion, kid. Not anymore.” M said gently.

Then, she stood and leaning down, M kissed Luna’s forehead softly. Luna shut her eyes tightly as a small whimper passed her lips. M turned around and padded to her room, closing the door at her back.

Luna raised her head and looked at the big moon, shining in the night.

“Black Star. The legend says: the one who carries it will be able to find the path to her heart.” Luna whispered absently as she cleaned her cheeks. “Where are you?” She asked to no one in particular, chuckling at her own words, staring at the moon. Mark, her mind echoed faintly.

Wednesday

Paris (France) Vin.

One of the most prestigious magazines was going to take pictures of Vin Diesel dressed in exclusive outfits from different French fashion designers. He was selecting from the big wardrobe what to wear. In front of his eyes there were trouser-suits as well as sport outfits.

The staff of the photo studio was finishing the different tests with lights and backgrounds while Val and Amanda were sitting in front of Vin looking at what he was going to wear. When Vin was done he gave himself a once over in front of the big mirror.

Vin Diesel was dressed in white suit pants and a black silky shirt. He then stared at his face. They had hidden the dark shadows under his eyes, but he still knew that they were there. His face didn’t leave any doubt about how he was feeling at that very moment. Vin Diesel was sick and tired of pretending that he was okay.

Valentino watched how Vin’s jaw tightened and his gaze turned even colder, flashing with restrained anger. He narrowed his eyes in suspicion and headed directly to him.

Vin put his hand inside of his pant pocket and found it empty. His eyes went wide and his heart skipped a beat.

Suddenly and without warning a vision of Luna crying silently popped in his mind, causing a cold shiver to run up his spine. Vin fixed his gaze in a spot only he could see, tightening his jaw even more.

“Luna…” Vin whispered, closing his hands in fists.

“Are you ready, Mr. Diesel?” A boy asked him, smiling broadly. Vin shook his head, blinking furiously.

The boy stood there waiting for him to answer. Vin Diesel looked at the boy through the mirror and slowly nodded ‘yes’. The boy nodded back and returned to the photographer’s side.

Vin stretched his back, cracking his neck bones and turned on his heels, just to find Valentino in front of his face. Val grinned, lifting his hand.

“Now look at you, babe! You look gorgeous, Vincent!” Val teased pretending to be gay. “You’ve got to take me out for dinner tonight, big boy.” Val mocked, continuing with his game.

For a second, Vin arched his brow, shocked, just to burst out laughing hard as Val grinned, batting his lashes seductively.

Vin pulled Val to him, hugging him tightly, patting his broad back. Val mimicked him.

“Thank you, Valentino.” Vin whispered, smiling.

“It’s nothing, bro.” Val replied, laughing hard.

Vin let him go and looked at Amanda who was laughing hard, shaking her head watching them. Vin winked at her and padded bare foot directly to the photographer, saying he was ready.

Val followed Vin’s movements with his gaze, grinning, and then slid his hand inside his pocket, squeezing the red pouch. Val let out a heavy sigh and shaking his head, he headed towards Amanda, taking a seat at her side.

A couple of hours later, they were back at the hotel in Paris where a press conference was waiting for Vin Diesel. Afterward, a private party was going to take place where only accredited journalists were allowed.

All of them were going to have the opportunity to speak with Vin Diesel without cameras or microphones around. Amanda accepted this with just one condition. No questions about Vin Diesel’s private life. The French press accepted it and the party was a great success.

Vin Diesel spoke with each and every journalist for a few minutes about TCOR, his next projects and his impressions about the countries he had visited by now.

It was late in the night when Val and Vin returned to the hotel. Vin was really tired so he went directly to his room inside the suite he was sharing with Val and closed the door behind him.

Valentino collapsed onto the couch and looked for the international sports channel. In just a couple of hours their jet was going to depart for London.

Vin collapsed onto the bed and stared at the ceiling with his hands behind his shaved head. After a long moment, he glanced at his chrono. It was 03:45am local time in Paris.

He let out a heavy sigh and climbed off the bed, heading directly to the balcony. When he reached it, Vin slid the French doors open and stepped outside.

His heart skipped a beat just to start racing within his chest when he looking up at the sky, he found a big full moon, washing the city with his silver gleam.

“Luna…” Vin breathed, lost in thought about her.

He then pulled the red pouch out of his pocket, pulling out the ring, staring at it. Almost immediately, the star, trapped inside the black stone, came into view, shining.

Without being aware of it, Vin lifted the ring and put it on his right hand ring finger, adjusting the size.

He then turned his hand slightly under the moonlight, causing the star to shine even more brightly. An unconscious smile graced his lips and Vin returned inside the room. He collapsed one more time on the bed and staring at the ceiling, he grinned.

In two days he would be landing in Madrid.
