The first time was in T2 (when he came back to look for her even though he didn't have to) and the second time by showing up just when he was about to give up. She certainly is his hope and her power she holds over him may be what will help him get through it. Wonderful beginning. I absolutely love the idea of Jack being this 'ghost/vision' and how she seems determined to save him this time.
