Trouble [4]
A shape moved on the console. Honed predatory instincts eons old kicked in and Riddick tracked the movement. A tight cluster of passengers in the finest clothes they had left one of the large freighters further down the tarmac, followed by another smaller group of ship’s techs in overalls, clipboards in hand. The techs slowed and then stopped before the merc ship, conferring with each other silently on the monitor. Disturbing nothing, Riddick was on his feet, blade out and concealed against his thigh, his robe swept clear of the sweep of his arm.

Worst Tattoos? I don’t think so
Funny Planet lists these two as some of the worst tattoos out there. Now granted, there are more at the link that are in fact terrible. For some reason the two worst tattoos involve unicorns but maybe I have a problem with unicorns so it could just be me!
One of these has been featured here before as a stunning food tattoo and I still have to say it’s an incredible work of art, all the more impressive for the fact that this is on a guy’s SKIN! And the Alien? I mean, come on! It’s a freakin’ Alien! What’s not to love about that!?

WEEEEE! I love e-books but until now, I’ve had to glare and grumble at the e-readers and get my books online in txt format. Now, Amazon has put Kindle on PC format, so you can read on screen. Yay! Off to download now…

New Stargate!
I’ve gotten hooked on this show so I’m stoked that it’s going into a second season, woohoo!:
Syfy announced it was renewing its new series Stargate Universe for a second season and it was also picking up Sanctuary for a third season. Both series were given orders for 20 episodes, which will begin airing in the fall.
Sanctuary is currently in the midst of airing its second season, while Stargate Universe is on hiatus between the first half of season one and the second half, which will air in April. Universe has been controversial with Stargate fans, who’ve shown a mixed reaction to the franchise’s new direction.
“We’re dealing with 15 seasons of expectations with a certain fanbase,” executive producer Robert Cooper told the Hollywood Reporter. “Hopefully, as the show goes on, people will appreciate Universe for being its own thing.”
He also revealed a new alien race will be added to the show. “There is a big story point coming up that does introduce an alien race,” Cooper said. “It’s more along the line of a District 9-type alien. Our interaction is handled in a very Universe way; they’re not the typical Stargate alien bad guys.”

This is, of course, just our opinion, and feel free to disagree in comments. We went back and forth about several of these films, and there were a few others that we almost included instead, so we’re not claiming infallibility here. 1. Pitch Black: This is nearly the perfect movie — a gritty anti-hero with weird eyes that can see in the dark is on a prison ship, which crashes on an alien planet. The lurking monsters are ominous and alarming, but the film’s real mystery is Riddick himself — the Furyan inspires loathing, hero-worship and a desperate longing for the anti-hero to become a hero by the movie’s end. Like Riddick’s own eyes, our view of him only really works when we see him through total darkness.
