“The Walking Dead” is headed back to AMC this fall. And if the cast’s excitement is any indication, Season 3 of the zombie-filled drama will be bigger and bloodier than ever. In our exclusive clip below, Irone Singleton, who plays T-Dog, said the upcoming season will “top the season finale and all of Season 2.” A blood-soaked Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick Grimes on the show, added that the “The Walking Dead’s” third season is “harder, darker, faster, deeper. It’s incredibly dangerous, and it’s thrilling.” Norman Reedus, who plays an equally messy Daryl, teased, “People start losing their minds, love blossoms and a whole lot of gross zombie kills.” [huffingtonpost/21 May 2012]

A new featurette for Ridley Scott’s Prometheus has gone online. This clip focuses on the character played by Charlize Theron, and some tantalizing new footage is intercut with Theron talking about her character and getting to work with Scott. The actress explains that her character, Vickers, works for The Weyland Company and is basically overseeing the mission that the team aboard Prometheus is undertaking, but she’s also a bit of a hard ass. We really haven’t seen much of her character in the previous trailers, so this featurette gives us better idea of what to expect from Theron once the film hits theaters. For months, the premiere date of Breaking Bad’s Fifth Season was shrouded in mystery just like Walter White’s secret blue meth formula. But today AMC finally shed some light on when TV’s best show will make its way back to the cable wires. On July 15, less than two short months away, the saga will start back up with the first of eight installments due this summer (It’s safe to assume that Episode Eight will end with some sort of monster cliffhanger)….Two weeks later, AMC will fire up Hell on Wheels again with a second season on Sunday, August 2. Syfy has now ended Sanctuary and Eureka, two of its longest-lasting series’s. Now it only has two actual science fiction programs running: Warehouse 13 and Alphas, along with the upcoming show Defiance, a few shows currently in development, many unscripted shows and a few supernatural/ fantasy shows like Being Human and Haven. The Syfy channel doesn’t seem to want to carry many ACTUAL science-fiction programs. SyFAIL. [ftlnews/21 May 2012]
