Wait til late. The ship is quiet, has been for hours. She’s asleep, but not deeply. I have the feeling she doesn’t really sleep deep, doesn’t trust herself to be off guard. Every once in a while she’ll quietly stretch everything, as much as she can. Doesn’t want her body to fall asleep. Makes it easier to react quicker.

The bit cuts into the sides of my mouth. Work it loose, as much as I can. It’s padded, where it meets the corners of my mouth. Wouldn’t want to damage the property. Use that to my advantage. The rest of the restraints are padded for the same reason. So as not to damage my skin. They’re tighter than the bit though. So I try and work the bit loose.
