‘Stargate Universe’ Delivers Action and Humor in Season 2.5 Premiere:
‘Deliverance’ is old school space opera with an ‘SGU’ flavor
Stargate Universe makes it’s bittersweet return to Syfy in the US and SPACE Channel in Canada this week and it comes back with a bang. Several bangs in fact.
Like ‘Space,’ the corresponding episode at the start of Season 1.5, ‘Deliverance’ dispenses with much of the re-envisioning that has separated SGU from its predecessors in the franchise. Instead, it delivers in abundance that most populist expression of the space opera genre: the space battle. It’s not Stargate Universe at its best, but it’s an entertaining hour that marks a welcome return for one of the best sci-fi shows on television.[cinemaspy]

The sharkmechas can kick the asses of dinoshark and sharktopus.
Turns out the best pilot for a battleship is a shark brain. Just transplant right into the brain interface bowl on the bridge, and you’re in business. As long as you don’t forget the dorsal fin.
For some reason, shark brains just can’t get adjust to having a ship body unless they can feel that fin moving through vacuum, as if it were slicing through protons the way it once sliced through water molecules back on Earth.
Feng Zhu is a concept designer who has worked on games and movies, from Star Wars to Guild Wars and Transformers. He also does original work and does tutorials, which is what most of these images are from. I love that his ships look designed for space and sea.

Sure this reproduction of Michelangelo’s The Creation of Adam is a lil’ bit perverted by the inclusion of a coffee cup, but look closer. The entire masterpiece was painted using only coffee
I’m amazed that I haven’t seen these coffee art clones before. They’re the creation of Karen Eland, a former barista, who one day decided to dip a paint brush into her coffee cup instead of nibbling on biscotti. By gradually building layers of espresso she’s able to create a range of tones and what must be the tastiest smelling paintings ever.
